  • AWESOME CAR MAN! I love my 87 IROC to death!! CHEVY FOR LIFE!

  • @Disdrace16 Black ones are much less fuel efficient than the rest!

  • hey did u make ur rims crome or did u duy em

  • My brother in-law just got an IROC-Z and that is some sweet ass shit. nice comment about the shit stang.

  • nothin like chevy

  • thats bad ass

  • @Disdrace16 not very good, considering it has the 350, and 3.70 ratio posi!

  • 2:45 - Thats whats up!

  • is the car still for sale?

  • G'day from OZ (Australia) Mate, I have a question, the Iroc sticker on the door, I see yours is at the back section under the handle, I'm looking at one here and it is on the front section of the door, It's an 88 350 aswell. Do you know the correct placement of the sticker or if it changed mid-year or something? Am wondering If the one I'm looking at is dodgy in some way. Cheers, Jason.

  • @jasin350z if its a true 88 iroc-z, it should be at the back of the door! they put them from the factory at the front of the door through 87, begin in 88 at the back! so either its not an 88, or they replaced stickers and put them at front, or its just not a true iroc-z!! does it have the stripes around the car at the bottom like mine also? one way to see if its an actual 88, is look to see if there is a 3rd brake light on the spoiler/wing! or just look up the VIN # on the internet!

  • @camaro88iroc

I have them sending me more details and VIN Engine numbers, there's pin-stripping missing on the nose cone too so there's a possible replacement there, the car has low 30,000miles (rarity in Oz) and looks a million, I'm hoping for good news. Thanks for the quick response, the info will be helpful. I will have to dust off my 'Camaro White Book'.

    Cheers, Jason.

  • @jasin350z ......OK so they sent me the VIN and guess what, you were right, it's a 1987 model but get this... it was an 87 305ci Iroc,.. the idiots didn't even know what they had or tried to scam me.

  • @jasin350z yeah man that sucks! hate to here that! unless the 305 was swapped out for a 350. there are other ways to tell if the motor is a 350

  • @camaro88iroc The 87's have the 3rd brakelight on the spoiler as well. 1986 it was on the top of the hatch (ugly).

  • what was the 1st song that played?

  • @supersexymaro92 its labeled in the video!

  • i think those are 98 wheels

  • @swagX10 no, they're iroc chrome replicas!

  • @camaro88iroc im srry i ment 89 not 98 and they nice rims

  • I wish I had this car!

  • Sweet!!! nice!!

  • @camaro88iroc bc im not a video or attention whore that i dont post my life online for every1 to see that its not real? thats smart thinking... ppl are fucking idiots online.

  • @darkmj16 lol what the fuck ever dude! i knew you would say that bullshit!

  • damn nice car

  • damn nic car

  • 5.7L right?

  • I have an 87 Iroc-z 305 :)

  • nice i have the 305 tpi with some mods and yea the t5 feels reaaaaaaly weak but its lastin.....did the hypertech performance chip do much?im thinkin about gettin it. TANKS

  • hye guys question im searching some seats (or cover seats) for my camaro 1986 iroc Z does any one know a place where can i buy it by internet (i want blue camo color)

  • um...but its automatic....and, err take the stickers off...

  • @mansanatizer well im sorry that they didnt put a weak ass manual T5 tranny in a car w/ a 350 with tons of torque, which is why no 3rd gens what so ever were ever offered with manuals! they had too much torque for the weak T5 tranny back then. the stickers did nothing but add looks to the car and intimidation to the shittangs behind me!

  • @camaro88iroc No third gens "whatsoever" were offered with manuals? the V6 and the 305 were both offered with the T5, the 350 TPI is the only engine that wasn't offered with a manual

  • @Memph151967 i meant no 3rd gens with the 350 had it offered!. in some 3rd gens with the 305, some came with the manual T5.

  • @camaro88iroc Thats intresting I never knew that

  • @Thetruejarodavick the 350s did not but the 305s did.

  • sick car and sick music

  • That is one sick car bro... I have an 88' myself and it is the coupe sports version not the Iroc. Mines in like the exact same color as yours too haha.

  • NVM people ignore

  • Name of second song please.

  • Thats one bad ass mothafucker...

  • Thank you I will.

  • Hello great car. My passanger window does not go down all the way and it goes down crooked and up crooked. Also the left door makes a popping sound and it shifts up and down when I close or open it. If you know how to fix it I would appricate it

  • @TheNorthernSoulKing i dunno know man, never had any of those problems. take the door panel off the door w/ window problem, make it go up and down, diagnose the problem.

do the same w/ the door, check the hinges, make sure they're tight.

  • @TheNorthernSoulKing F-Bodys - Camaros are notorious for having underspec hinges to hold the heavy doors in place. Replace both hinges, relign the window channels. I have an 1985 IROC which is my 1st 3rd Gen, and it has the same door / window problems as all the 2nd gens. One of the best investments you can make is sub0frame connectors. It will help prevent body-flex.

  • beutiful iroc man looks just like mine. Keep it clean!

  • some irocs have 305's so do the rs, i have the rs and im in the process now of building a 355 for her.

  • Nice 88. ill take a thirdgen over a new 2010 anyday.

  • thats one clean iroc hope one day my 86 trans am looks as clean as yours

  • @TheMrchukies thanks bro! i put alot of time into her. the more time you spend on it, it will look better and better each day, and it will mean alot more to ya. You dont have to spend alot of money on a car to get it to look nice, just care for it like you would your own kid, lol! Good look on your trans am!

  • @TheMrchukies i hav a question wats kind of camaro is the one that has a 305

  • @hellobitch1000 what? i didnt understand that question. most IROCs have 305s, some have 350. like if a square shifter knob and 145 mph speedometer is 350. and an 8 in the 8th digit of vin. this car is a 350!

  • @camaro88iroc Beginning with the 1988 model year, all IROC-Z's with the automatic tranny received the 'square' shift knob.

  • @FatFred2U yep

  • @FatFred2U dude like totally dude this has been over with. it is possable to bore out 305s their the same dam block, atleast the early ones are. also CC1 is in fact a dealership add on. i now for a fact GM didnt put 350s factory in a ttop car. for fear of body twist (i dont now why they felt that) idk if the dealership got a 305 and swapped in a 350 or what but i now for a fact that 350s didnt come in a ttop car just like a t-5 was never paired with a 350 factory! now leave this alone dam.

  • @darkmj16 Perhaps you could follow your own advice, and stop arguing about things you cannot prove.

    1. Have you ever measured he distance from a 305's cylinder bore to the the water jacket?

    2. Do you have any idea of the kind of work that would be required to convert a thirdgen from hardtop to t-top. Think long and hard before you attempt to answer that one, because it's not the kind of task any dealership is equipped to perform.

  • @FatFred2U 3. Can you actually prove that no 350/-top cars were ever produced, aside from relying on the spotty records kept by GM? I know of two cases of dealer-ordered 350/5 sp. cars (with verified factory build sheets), yet GM's 'official' record says these cars don't exist. Since t-top and convertible thirdgens have more chassis stiffening, they are actually better equipped to handle the 350's torque than the hardtop variants.

Stop to think, before you argue!

  • Comment removed

  • @73chargerman I already said that it was possible for factory 350/t-top cars to exist, but i also said that if some were produced, GM didn't document them. If you have the papers to prove your car is one of them, then you should scan the build sheet and post it at thirdgen-dot-org. That would quieten most of the naysayers.

  • @FatFred2U you first. and it can be done. its done quite often. talk to a machine shop, also ive seen it done. no problems. and its not hard to convert a hard top to ttop. ask yourself why is there smaller then factory ttops? bc the dealership cut the roof for the smaller ttop. and any dealership could do it, its not that hard, your not replaceing the whole roof.

  • @darkmj16 If it has been done and you've done it, then I'm sure you can supply he proof. Let's see the pictures of the completed result, as well as the work in progress. Oh and I'm sure you'll be able to supply proof of a supplier who can provide non-spec roof panels (you did say your version doesn't allow for using factory panels). Oh and btw, as you correctly noted: CC1 is an RPO code, which refers to a factory-installed option. So your self-modified thirdgen will not carry a CC1 code.

  • @darkmj16 are u fucking serious, this is an original from the factory t-top 350 car. and there are others! now ur just trying to make shit up you knowing that we are right.

  • @darkmj16 And where are you getting the smaller-than-factory glass panels for your imaginary t-tops? And where are you inserting the necessary bracing to make-up for the loss of structural integrity which occurs when you mangle a very significant stressed-member (i.e.,... the roof panel)? You've already proven your lack of knowledge when you claimed a 305 block would supoort a 4.00" bore. Keep it up, I enjoy listening to your fairytales.

  • @darkmj16 dude you are the biggest retard in the world. u are just another jealous mother fucker that wished he had a 350 camaro and not driving around in ur mother's ford pinto! dont be sad, ur not the only one, but u are the fucking dumbest one! lol, u sir, is a shame, congratulations! hahhaha, retard.

  • Man..... lost the big bowtie and the decal on the windshield. Have some respect for the ROC

  • @GetsumJ it just lets the pos fords know who makes the best! and style points!

  • @GetsumJ there's nothing wrong with the bowtie and the chevy symbol on the windshield...my '84 has a big bowtie on the back window and i get lots on compliments for it...so yeah

  • @z28pwns exactly, it just adds style and taste! and lets everyone that doesnt know what a real car looks like, lets em know what it is! like all the shit prius drivers!

  • nice iroc hey was this on craigslist?

  • @3rd4thgenFbody nope got it off of eBay bout 4 1/2 years ago. was actually only 25 min from where i live

  • dude no way!!! my friend is going to have an almost identical engine except he is going to put a tpi system and 12 bolt differential with a sintrifical blower exact model car and everything too cool!!

  • @mrbobshowful this is a tpi

  • the way i know this is a TRUE IROC is because the second u showed 1:24 the gauges your SPEEDO goes to 140 not 115 NICE CAR very clean

  • dude how fast does this beast of a car go?

  • @thedirtysouthofbc fuck dude i dont know! i get way too many speeding tickets so i dont really want to get my car towed away and license suspended, lol, so i dont even bother trying! but it cruises pretty easily at 110!

  • yeah i love the car it is super sweet gotta make my 86 iroc look that good

  • damn, makes me want an iroc now. Looks good man.

  • This iroc is badass, love the crome iroc's

  • BEAST VIDEO!! 2 OF MY FAVORITE THINGS IN THE WORLD! DIRTY HARRY AND 3RD GEN IROC Z28S!

  • nice car man i have an 83 with a 350 5 speed and t top love that car so much!!!!!

  • i absolutely love this car. this car is my dream car. sweet car! love the mt. dew honda pix.

  • I also have a 88 Camaro Iroc Z but currently it needs a paint job big time and but all the numbers match but i've been looking around for body kits and sound systems and havent had any luck.

  • that is so badass one of my buddys had 92 iroc and within the first day the cops toke it to the impound lot for doing burnouts at wal-mart and for not paying child support...really fucked up

  • Holy shit! That thing is absolutely luscious. Stickers are on the rear of the doors so it's a 5.7 liter right? Verrry nice. It is an iconic testament to the last great era this country has ever known.....the 1980's. I've got an 89 btw, not nearly as sweet.

  • @Cokie907 thanks! it may have an 383 stroker put in it soon, if the guy ever answers his phone so i could buy it!

  • @Cokie907 Letters at the rear of the door indicate it's an '88 - 90 IROC-Z and have nothing to with the engine that is installed.

  • Nice Two thumbs up :@)

  • that's hilarious! i stole this car and crashed it!

  • @lovesgibson what the fuck are you talkin bout'?

  • @camaro88iroc crap, did i say that out loud?

  • @lovesgibson ya wish buddy!!!!

  • thats super nice car i love these cars you should check out mine yours is way nicer lol..

  • Awesome car. I always wanted one of these cars. How much is the market value of your car today? By the way, can you get a hot blonde to pose over the car?

  • @espntimestwo around 6 - 7 grand in good shape! it all depends.

  • You could get the L98 optioned 5.7L 350ci all day long with T-tops... you just couldn't get the T5 manual 5-speed with the 350. Not until 1993 was a manual offered with the 350 (LT1 with a 6-speed) You could get the 5.0 with the 1LE option in 5-speed which actually put down the same numbers as the 5.7, due to its radical cam and Corvette goodies. But thats a very rare beast!!!!

  • what did the clint eastwood clip have to do with a camaro

  • @metalmaster014 nothing, just thought it was badass! whats it matter?

  • @camaro88iroc eh just wondering, clint eastwood is a badass, i liked gran torino the best

  • Fucking CLLLEEAAAANNN!!!

  • Beautiful car man. I too have a red one and im trying to find the right wheels.

  • nice car how much more HP u making with those mods?

  • guys...a 350 did NOT come in ttop cars. GM didnt put a 350 in a ttop car for fear of body twist (a joke ik but still) other then that fact nice car! some day my 92 RS will be just as pretty. i exspecially love the rims.

  • @darkmj16 dude it's a 350, i have the fuckin vin # on the car that says so! so much of what you know shithead. and yea than i guess it has a 5.7 TPI badge on the rear bumper to lie about it. and go to my rev and burnout vids, if it was a 305 it wont sound like it does. i hate people like you that think that they know everything but actually do not!

  • @camaro88iroc dude chill the fuck out b4 u start shit. 1st im not the only one who "thinks" i now theres a whole dam community accross the country. check out thirdgen.org. and im not saying its not a 350, bc like every car a 350 could of been swapped in there, the badges added/replaced. and i challage that vin number. wuts the 8th digit? and any 305 can be built up to sound like anything dumbass!!! but unless u hav the 1 of 2 PROTOTYPES 88 iroc-z28 concept 350s did not come in ttops cars.

  • @darkmj16 hey fuck nuts, go back to jerking off to your nigger v-tech vids. 88 iroc's DID FUCKING HAVE 350'S. I HAVE ONE AND THE 8TH VIN IS .......oh shit yo its an 8.

so, camaro88iroc and i must have the PROTOTYPE ones

  • @foxxshox mother fkr i hav a super charged 383 92 rs camaro so stfu! u dumbass dont now nothing if the car was ttop it didnt come with a 350, do uk how easy it is to swap a 305 for a 350? o idk just a new fucking block, or bore the 305 out. ik for a fact a 350 only came in hard tops with a auto. do some research. its a fact in the GM history books. however unless you bought the dam car brand new formt he factory any1 could of swapped a 350 in there so go stick a dick in ur ear dumbass redneck!

  • @darkmj16 dude im not gunna argue w/ you anymore. a ttop car w/ original 350 from factory w/ original vin number. it is not my fault u are too hardheaded to believe that just because you THINK u know everything. so fuck you!

  • @camaro88iroc u guys are the idiots plain and simple. its a proven fact by GM themselves, bet you that the block number doesnt match the car. and me, GM, and like 10k other ppl most be hardheaded bc we now what comes in our cars. and unless you can tell me that you've owned it since day 1 when it rolled off the factory line you guys are dumb, end of story. look up the facts.

  • @camaro88iroc the 350 was available in the t-top models.

Don't worry about people who don't know their shit.

  • @camaro88iroc The tpi 350 was available in the T-top models.

Don't worry about people who don't know their shit. Plus, for having a blown 383 4th gen, he sure doesn't have any video or pictures of it.

The T-top models were the models GM converted into the convertibles because of the extra bracing already in place. Just a fact.

  • @Photoshopper9 someone who knows 3rd gens. thank you!!!

  • @darkmj16 wow buddy you need to go the fuck home. Idk where you get ur bullshit info from but stop going there..I have an 87 350 tpi with T-tops. I bet you dont know the RPO numbers for the 350 do ya? it's L98, and B2L. mine has both in the center glove box. My engine is original. It still has the sticker that says L98 on it. I just want to shoot you...

  • @outcastMETALchild89 bring it you wont get close enough. and b2l is police package and those ttops arent orgianl they are probley dealer installed. and you dumb fucks are missing my point, FACTORY theres no way a 350 came in a ttop car, however any1 with half a brain could of swapped in a 350. look it up. facts are facts deal with, and ik my 3rd gens. as for the rpo codes, swapped consle look at the 8th didgit in the vin. E=305 8=350

  • @darkmj16 please just go away you illiterate douche. your thing is video games..not cars. haha. First off the police package RPO is B4C..not B2L. B2l means performance package(350 TPI) CC1 means removable roof. (t tops) mine has that. Why the fuck would someone switch glove boxes???? I know the original owner and none of that non sense your saying is true. GO ask anyone who knows camaros, they will say the same.facts are facts when you know what your talking about, in which your case..you don't.

  • @outcastMETALchild89 u started this again dumb fuck and ya b4c is police forgot that and you just proved something, THAT IM RIGHT! hahahaha CC1 is rpo code for DEALER installed ttop, not factory. dont believe that find a ttop car factory and try to switch out the ttops they wont work. and i was just bout to say you fags could have the dealer installed ttop and thats why u think they came factory.

  • @darkmj16 Dude, you were on solid ground when you said that GM's records indicate no 350/t-tops cars were produced. However, GM's record-keeping in the '80's was a little spotty and there are documented cases of 'special' cars leaving the factory but not being entered in the records. A factory build-sheet would be nice to prove it left the factory with a 350 and T's. CC1 is an RPO code (RPO = Regular production Order = factory installed option). No hardtops were converted to t's by the dealers.

  • @darkmj16 oh btw you did get one thing right...my vin shows an 8 which means 350. I'm done with you. you cant tell me that b.s when i own one. I bet your one of those fags who thinks they put a t-5 with a 350 car and sold to the public...WRONG. see ya later..

  • @outcastMETALchild89 and i have one to dumb ass and ik my info. and ik they didnt do a t-5 with a 350 bc the 350 put out to much torque just like ik the factory didnt put a 350 in with ttops. cc1 rpo code means the dealer did it against GMs advice so fuck off u rich douche bags.

  • @darkmj16 Dude, again you're showing-off your ignorance. If you actually knew anything about Chevy small-blocks, you'd know you can't bore-out a 305 to make a 350. You'd be into the water jackets well before you brought the 305's-3.735" bore out to the 350's-4.000" bore.

    Major Fail!

  • @camaro88iroc ya darkmj16 you can get one with a 350 and t tops, but you couldn't get one with a 5sp and 350 with t top.

  • @Ajpz28 yes thank you for clearing that up!! that dude don't know shit. he probably doesn't even know what side his right nut is on!

  • @darkmj16 dumshit i have an 87 iroc 350 tpi with T TOPS!!!!!

  • iroc's are bout my fav s. me and my dad have a 57 bel air convertible. but my beauty im lookim for is a 92 RS . love your car tho too

  • damn that car is too fine

  • VERY nice! I have an 88 iroc with the 5.7 tpi that i'm fixing up, i have videos of it and updates. That also is a NICE G8 you have in that picture i have the car it replaced, an 04 grand prix. it's a shame pontiac is done :( i eventually want to get a G8 but i wanna keep my grand prix too. GO chevy and pontiac!

  • @Declipse16 yeah the G8 replaced a 04 Grand Prix. Pontiac make some great reliable cars!

  • man I used to have an 89' Camaro RS with a 305 V8. The thing was a lemon, but man did it look nice

  • Hey, Sweet Iroc Bro! Very clean Reminds me of my 87 and 89. You should throw a Iroc Turbo Daytona hood on it. would look even better. I have one on mine

  • where did you get those wheels?

  • they were on there when i bought the car, i think he got em' at Discount Tire or Pep Boys!! you can find several of them on eBay!

  • @camaro88iroc i saw the same wheels at pepboys. and carslile PA carshow

  • if it was beautiful like you said in the description you wouldnt beat the piss out of it and do burnouts. im the orginal owner of my 85 and i never peeled out or raced mine ever. its all original and thats a true beauty

  • that burnout that i took a pic of was like a split second and i let go of brake! and everything i do to it is to keep it running cooler like thermostat, dual electric fans, throttle body bypass, etc. it was a little worse than it is now(exterior) when i first bought it

  • Very Cool Car! nice vid too!

  • Whack!!

  • nice iroc!

  • LMAO.....

  • yea it made a big difference, they have different types, but mine is for the RPM's. it goes up to a higher RPMs than the stock chip before it shifts. they have several different kinds depending on what u want the upgrade to ur car u want it to be.
