yea i used to do taekwondoe and in sparring tournaments they would pair u up vs female or male, there is no grappling though, kicks and punches only. I know my sister had to face a guy before and won .

He also does punch deflection, upper body counter attacks stuff that taekwondo lacks

@hob976 The very best martial artists (for example the famous ones who are so talented they have movies that revolve around it) study multiple arts and deviate from those to create their own unique fighting style. Depends what you're looking for and willing to commit. I doubt you could really rank martial arts in any particular hierarchy since certain arts excel in certain conditions whilst others may excel in other conditions (that's why it's good to study several where possible).

Dude's fighting a lesser belt. That's kinda sad. Same thing happened at a tournament I went to. I lost to a guy that was a purple belt, when I was a blue belt. He walked away and put on his black and red belt. Some people just have to cheat to win. Fight someone with the same experience level, and then see where you are at.
