And third, one of most abused sites, Srebrenica was place where until 1995 more than 3500 Serbs were murdered by Muslim commander Naser Oric, and his army. Several villages were wiped of the map. Western media is silent about that. He is proclaimed as "national hero".

Oh yeah, they support a dictator who launched air and artillery strikes against his own people. When protests started it was seen as a spread of the pro democracy movement for which Egypt, and other countries were praised. What was different in Libya? No one came to the defense of the protesters for a week, giving Gaddafi enough time to send planes, tanks, artillery and using them on his own people. Shades of "Tienemen Square". I guess some prefer brutal dictatorships to a democracy.

The difference of Egypt-Tunisia rebels and the Libyan rebels is that the second ones are armed. And there is no regime or state in the world that don't response with repression against those armed groups. It's natural in any country. In the case of Libya, anyone knows that this vendetta was planned months ago by USA.

@Hessalter another difference: Egyption President Did not givean order openly kill protesters. Gadafi: Gave gun to his own supporters to kill oppsition. What else Libyan protesters should have done? Runaway and get killed? or hide and get killed?
they got desperate and joined small rebel groups that were already there. not only to protect self but in order to protect their own family. Remember that Gadafi is Kim jung ill's only friend

Gee, I wonder why the Russian government is so upset about all of this...sucks to lose a potential business partner, I guess? Who cares that Gaddafi is a frothing-at-the-mouth lunatic that even the most militant of ME groups won't touch with a ten foot pole.

@MrTouchShriek If the Russian government was upset the military would go to Libya. Russians even stopped giving them weapons...They probably arent, upset.
