  • Let me guess - irony is not your strong side? And btw - no, they fought for Hitler's ideology and his ambition to gain more "Lebensraum" in the East. It is very possible they had other and personal reasons to join this fight, but it doesn't change shit - they fought for the Nazis and for their cause.

  • Yes & no. Germany demanded more because danish people were misbehaving too much.

Werner Best was called to Berlin to explain him self to Hitler, and then things changed.

  • Can someone tell me why jews would fund the communist movement?

  • Bolshevism is the term they used to denote communist jews in Russia. The communist movement was an overwhelmingly jewish movement. They starved 10 million christian Ukrainians to death in the HOLODOMOR .1932-33. European jews had overwhelmingly supported the bolshevicks with money and propaganda in their papers. They wanted to destroy all religious and ethnic identities except their own and did not care how many people they had to kill to do it. They were not innocent victims of NAZIsm.

  • - Far more Danes were killed in a Nazi uniform on the Eastern Front during WW2 than in the resistance + in Allied service + civilian casualties + during the invasion 1940 .... Still Denmark was considered as an Allied nation after the war .... pure luck?

  • @CapKorzeniowski Because our government and resistance was fighting the Nazi - we even sunk our own navy to prevent them from getting their hands on it. - No Danish volunteers fought the west. The Danish volunteers joined the Germans to fight the Communists - its another case of "An enemy of my enemy is my friend" In the beginning everyone thought we were with the Germans - but when we sunk our navy and saved the jews everyone knew that we actually fought the Nazi and not helping them

  • @Blackie3391

You cannot say our government fought the Nazis - they stayed and they cooperated, even they king stayed and kept on riding his horse around in the streets of Copenhagen like everything was normal. The Norwegian government and king fled Norway and as a result of the invasion they declared war on Germany. The Danish government only stopped cooperating because in 1943 they could see Nazi Germany would loose the war and in this process the Danish navy was sunk.

  • @CapKorzeniowski The occupation of Denmark was very mild when you look at the other countries - we were allowed to keep our goverment and even our military for a period. Denmark was very weak at that time because of our prime minister who didnt like military so we had no chance. And it is not normal for a king to ride unguarded through the streets - he did that as a symbol. A symbol that Danes had to stick together and the King supported the resistance.

  • @CapKorzeniowski The Germans didnt really change much about Denmark untill 1943 - thats why we were cooperating.

When the occupation began they demanded all sorts of equipments such as cannons for example. They got them but the goverment wasnt pleased with that and the relations started to go downhill. And the demanding only got worse. In 1943 they demanded all our jews and our navy and thats when all hell broke loose and Denmark was declared "enemy territory" by Germany. So yes, we fought

  • @Blackie3391

    "So yes, we fought"

Not really! We fought with Germany, against Russia. :)

  • @The357viking Danish resistance fought the Germans more or less and its something I am proud. We managed to save all of our jews and destroy our navy. Everyone feared the Communist so most people signing up for the SS did it to fight the Red and not because they liked Germany or were Nazi.

We also had people in allied service (sailers and soldiers) most noteable Anders Lassen who was a Dane and fought in the SBS and recived the Victoria Cross as the only foreigner in WW2.

  • @Blackie3391

Yes, but only (or mostly) because Germany was about to lose the war.

  • @The357viking Germany appered to be winning the war. In 1943 most of Europe was occupied and the German armies were deep into Russia. Most people actually thought Germany would win. And it had nothing to do with us fighting back - we fought back at that time because they demanded too much, our jews and our navy. After 1943 Germany finaly declared Denmark for enemy territory because of all the sabotages and murder of traitors and German officers.

  • @CapKorzeniowski In 1943 the Kingdom of Denmark joined the Antikomintern Pakt. Again, after the 22 August 1944 betrayal of the Axis Powers' agreements and Tripartite Pact, the Kingdom of Romania also became an 'Allied' country (more like a Soviet-controlled puppet state 'monarchy' until 1947 abdication and total Stalinism). In Denmark, the government enjoyed very much liberty and the Danish King could parade everywhere freely. Mere German military presence.

  • @CapKorzeniowski In 1943 the Kingdom of Denmark (Danish FA Minister Dr. Erik Scavenius) signed the Antikomintern Pact with Finland and the Axis Powers and Spain. Denmark was only militarily occupied.

  • @IustitiaPax

interesting - what was the deal within this pact?

  • @CapKorzeniowski To combat the Komintern and the Communist states, including the USSR.

  • These young men were no longer boys but true european warriors! Defenders of European Culture and Ethos against the true criminal Cs Communism and Capitalism that wanted to destroy the vital Ethos of European Peoples! May they beforever praised and remembered!

  • nieder mit den verbuendeten!
