@ShadowManV3 why did i name him snake? are you mental? its snake plissken, from escape from new york. do your homework dude. i said it once and ill say it again, i hate armchair critics.
@blinky500 Woah dude calm down lol. First off i have never heard or seen Escape from L.A Or New york Before, Sorry i dont watch chezzy B-rated movies.
Secondly still Calling him snake , long hair , 5 oclock shadow and camo pants in ur new one thats alot like Snake From Metal Gear Soild. With out the head band tho
@ShadowManV3 do you have any idea how ignorant your comment makes you look? escape from new york was made in 1981. it pre-dates metal gear solid by a friggin' generation. solid snake was based on snake plissken. like i said- do your friggin' homework before you attempt to be an armchair critic. you dont know what youre talking about and its painfully obvious. the less you know, the more ignorant you sound. google snake plissken, this isnt rocket science.
@ShadowManV3 also, if youve never heard of something, yet still feel compelled to comment on that something all the while making ignorant comments about how it reminds you of something else, that post dates it, you cannot expect me to not lash out. i loathe ignorance. i despise stupidity. and most of all, i cannot stand it when people blurt out dumb comments or questions on the internet when all they have to do is google their answer. i mean come on, how lazy are you? (that is rhetorical)
@blinky500 Well i can comment it if i want. If you were a professional You wouldn't get soo butt hurt about what i say Or get all defensive. And it Escape from new york came out in 1981 Metal gear 1986 not that big of a gap.
Im not stupid here i just never heard of that movie cuz i dont watch B-rated movies.
And hense i never heard of the movie i thought you made the character up soo thats why i asked. DUH
@ShadowManV3 escape from new york wasnt a b movie. it just goes to show how limited you are and how lazy you are that you cant even google something before posting. i have no respect for that and as a professional taking the time to write you back, i would expect that you would have half a brain to do the research before you bothered commenting. which clearly you dont. and fyi- MGS came out in 1987 but solid snake didnt make it big till the 90's. thus, a generation later.
@ShadowManV3 do your homework and stop getting pissy when someone calls you out on being ignorant when you clearly are demonstrating ignorant behavior. bitch about this again and ill block you and remove this stupid argument.
@blinky500 Well, it was sad that you couldnt find a nondrawn Jack Burton, and that the barfight was so undestructive, otherwise it was cool. Would like to se more from Jack Burton, however. But how do you do the fx? The helicopter got to be from greenscreen, or did you knew the pilot?
ya it was sad. Debra Hill passed away from cancer, before it the game could be completed. and there was going to be an anime style cartoon with Kurt doing the voice. I wish somebody in hollywood would step up, and do something new with snake, but still keep to the original New York style.
Dude - that was WICKED!!! Awesome job! You combined my two all-time favorite characters. :) I loved your Jack Burton. He had the swagger and presence down good - and he even had the shirt!!! Jealous! Great fight scenes too!
This is a clever concept. There is another "sequel" to the Escape movies on Youtube called Escape from Total Recall, and that one has Arnold Schwarzenegger and Kurt teaming up. It is a comedy though. I'm interested in whether or not the creators of these movies know each other or have communicated.
great thanks for that, just one more question if u dont mind, how much did it cost u? i have just seen a load and there all different prices. did u use that photoshop for the escape big trouble in new jersey title sequence? that was the best me and all my mates love it
pretty good. any way to continue the snake plissken dsytopian world is fine by me. its the shame the comic and the video game was cancelled. movies like this keep the legend alive
Blinky, your work rocks the house. This is high quality (even with the animatics). TBH, your work is the best quality of darker fan films (I give both your Friday the 31st: Michael vs. Jason and this one five stars all the way). Keep up the excellent work.
Pretty cool. I'm a HUGE FAN of John Carpenter. Plus Jack Burton is my fav. Carpenter Character. But you should brighten the picture up. It's Too Dark.
Blinky, great movie, I am a fan of all the John Carpenter films as well as your horror films. Now on this paticular film, you should use more lighting effects and have the actor that's portraying Snake Plissken have more of a Clint Eastwood voice. Jack Burton was pretty much nailed to the T. However, your films are fantastic, so this better not be your last project.
