It's a pity that she never realized that her husband had been brought up to fulfill a role. I know my statements aren't going to be popular, but I want to speak the truth, as I see it. Everyone criticizes Charles & especially Camilla. However, he truly appears to love her, & that, at least may hold this marriage together. I hear everyone say how beautiful Diana was, both inside & out. Having never met her, I can say yes, she was gorgeous, & she did appear nice. However, no-one knows the truth that occurred behind closed doors. Maybe it was simply they just didn't get along

Never again will the Royal Family have a shining light like Princess Diana. Whether they want to admit it or not, she was their saving grace. Now hopefully William will carry on for her. I truly hope he hasn't lost everything taught to him by his mother. It's been a long time, and the Royals have a way of brain washing and conditioning the two princess to fit their best interests and not that of the people. I find this so sad.

It's a pity that she never realized that her husband had been brought up to fulfill a role. How can somebody who had been so vigorously encouraged to be the representative of a constitutional monarchy be expected to ask for romance when it comes to marriage? At some point she should have realised that. But there you are, she was too young and too much traumatised by her own family history to come to terms with such a 'deal'.

Diana saved the British monarchy. She made it important again. She was loved for her people skills, REALNESS and of course her style. I will always feel that the House of Windsor used her horribly. Everyone went mad with grief, and it still comes back to me sometimes like at William's wedding. She'd have been so proud and, after the bride, would have upstaged everyone else there -especially Camilla!

When Diana became engaged, Fermoy and the QM both knew about Charles and Camilla, but these two elderly royals came from the stable where if your husband had a mistress, or indeed several, you put up with it. I agree with half of what you are saying - I think he was raised in that bizarre world and knew he had to fill a role, no matter what he actually may have wanted. He couldn't just marry the woman he loved, it had to be a very precise mold to fill the role of future Queen. He loved Camilla, she didn't fit. Poor beautiful Diana filled the role, and loved him to boot, but he didn't love her back. The whole setup was guaranteed to break hearts and ruin lives.

I was 5 going on 6 when she died but my mom used to tell me how I would watch her on tv and try to walk like her and everything. When I heard about how much I admired her I started researching her and watching things like this and see her as a true role model to myself and hopefully thousands of others.
