  • You said to run disk Utility and then verify. will disk utility say "disk is corrupted" or something? how do i know if it's good or bad disk? thanks!

  • @InvaderAlex08 You need to go into Disk Utility and click "Verify Disk." If it says it needs to be repaired, click repair disk.

  • I don't want to run into the same problem, so should I do a fresh install by erasing by disk?

  • @InvaderAlex08 My advice right now, schedule an appointment at the Genius Bar at a Apple Store and install Lion there. They will help you.

  • I'm going through the exact same thing I bought my MacBook pro 30 days ago and went to install lion on it tonight and boom dead.

  • @EeeScape that's what I'm going to do soon

  • You should boot to the original DVD install disk (Snow Leopard) and do a disk repair.

  • Apple has dropped the ball a lot lately, with Final cut "turds in a box" and now with this I mean someone needs to whack steve jobs upside the head with a rubber chicken

  • @MaddogTheRobot okay

  • @xXyankeeboy13xXx This totally sucks, i was getting ready to do a review for it. Ugh.

  • @MaddogTheRobot that sucks, but hopefully apple could fix it for you. When i tried to buy it this morning it wouldn't accept my apple gift cards to buy it or my credit card, so i had to call my parents to use theres

  • @xXyankeeboy13xXx lol, sorry dude. How is Lion working for you? Was the Migration Assitant update really important?

  • @MaddogTheRobot It working fine, i found it faster then snow leopard, the only thing i don't like is the reversed scrolling, but i changed it in systems preferences

  • And why haven't you gone to Apple to see what the deal is? I bet they'll solve it, and if not they'll at least get you back to where you started. They never leave you hanging if you ask them for help.

  • @ryanktolman I'm going to and then I will let everyone know what went wrong

  • I'm hesitant to install it now, i've got a mac mini 2009 model. 2.26Gz Intel core 2 duo. When YOU reboot, are you able to get back into SnowLeopard?

  • @InvaderAlex08 No, I'm locked out. I'm typing this comment from my iPod right now.

  • dont install it from a disk, when you download it from the app store you hit install and that takes like 4 min. and then it restarts and you click install again and it installs

  • @xXyankeeboy13xXx That's exactly what happened. This video shows OSX Lion at the final install stage and failing because my disk can't be repaired.

  • @MaddogTheRobot if you could, put it on a disk and then do a fresh install and us time machine

  • @xXyankeeboy13xXx That won't work and I already have tried the time machine thing out. It won't work because the Mac does not show my internal Hard Drive. I think I I'll take this to Apple. Thank you for your help though!

  • Did you check "Software Update" BEFORE updating to Lion?

  • @ryanktolman I did and I was updated to 10.6.8 before all happened

  • @ryanktolman oo yeah i forgot about that, make sure you have the software update that came out yes today

  • @xXyankeeboy13xXx what is the software update? the one i had was 10.6.8

  • @MaddogTheRobot No it was like Mirgaration Assestant for Mac OS X Lion, just click Software update and it should be something there about Mac OS X Lion

  • @xXyankeeboy13xXx I cant im locked out. I have to take it to Apple
