I know I heard about that dasey stuff in the 5th season too, but maybe all the liking each other stuff happens in this season! I mean they can't randomly go out and say sometime in the 5th season "I've always liked you!" "Me too!" um..no. I think maybe that's why they are getting along more this season, so that the relationship can grow.
