My father, rest his soul, was like you folks but a little before your time. He was a lifelong Republican and after realizing that Reagan lied to him and the American people, he remained registered Republican and voted in the primaries, but voted for Democrats for President. I think it's better to vote the person than the party. I am Democrat but I do vote for Republicans when they are qualified (hasn't been for president ever, though).
I'm, Sri Lankan......and all i can say about this election is that....no matter how desperately the WORLD needs OBAMA......McCain will be elected into office in November! That's just the way it is! The Democrats always lose in the end......and i don't really know why!
My greatgrandparents (immigrants);grandparents; Mother , and myself all Republicans...I'm sure they are turning in their graves with the state of this country. Now, I'm voting for Obama..I'm also Christian and will not let Paulin use faith to manipulate my vote..I hear Obama's message..more intelligence, more common sense..
Obama for the middle class, I do hope people will think ral good before they vote for a woman because she is a woman! We're not vote for Obama because he is a black man, we vote for someone that we can trust, have good judgement. So people that so excited about Palin, if you want to vote for her, it's WRONG! They both will take this country right back to the last 8 years. Many of my friends voted for Bush the last time, they told me, they will never boing back to vote for Republican! I agree.
Does anybody actually believe this dumb bag is actually a Republican? She contradicts herself many times...sometimes even in the same sentence. Nice try, but I'm not sure what this proves.
They are lying! They have never been republican. Liberals and democrats always lie. Obama lies, Biden lies, The Clintons whole life and careers are full of lies, Pelosi lies, Ried lies!!! LIES LIES LIES. No change JUST LIES!!!
I am also a Republican for Obama/Biden! I voted twice for president Bush thinking that Bush would keep his promise, but I got laid off and now going through my mortgage crises. And John McCain is all of a sudden about CHANGE, when infact McCain supported president Bush more than 95% of the time.
For Mr. McCain, it is a little too late now to think of CHANGE, and I have had enough of the last 8 years of the republican party.
mcain chose palin for a church the lithuanian world center that was built in 1964, and for what the "dead" have been saying about "44" and "76" from holy cross cemetary, illinois.
don't believe it?
don't have to.
its the truth, and *thats* what his choice and hopefull "success" campaign is completely built on.
I'm glad that the gentleman in the video mentioned that working in Chicago as a community organizer is far from easy. Unless you've lived here, you wouldn't understand, but Chicago is a rough town.
"Older and "Wiser" certainly does not apply to these people. The first lady finally becomes enraged from the male dominants in her life - at this age. Yep, she's credible.
Great video. Barack Obama's ideas and policies make more sense to address the issues at hand and, regardless of experience, the judgement that he's showing now, versus the guy with supposedly all the experience and the disastrous views he has, I'm very confident in Obama's ability and qualifications to be President. Republicans don't make government smaller, they just make it less effective; Bush and his administration, one of the most intrusive examples in history.
at the republican convention, they made fun of obama for being a faith based community organizer in the rough and tumble south side of chicago. they all laughed him to scorn. then i'm sure they all went home and sang "yes Jesus loves me" after they fronted off a sincere and faithful servant of God.
at this same convention, each lie was met with thunderous applause. the many lies are all well documented. the folks who gave us bush twice don't seem to care.
WOW This is Deep & Genuine. These three folks are sincere, concerned and educated and are making their statement and I applaud them for their candor and for coming forth to speak what they really feel.
I hope McCain wins! And I hope America would have another Great Depression, only then will there be true Revolution. We need to cleanse the government of both parties lies and greed.
Obama does not have enough experience to run this country properly. If you will stop having stars in your eyes because you think he's this wonderful guy, and take a look at his lack of experience you will change your mind.
McCain is for America, a true American and will not do anything like the Bush administration did.
Its true democrats what more control over economy but its also true republicans want more control over social issues. Personally I would have social freedom over higher taxes.
Obama has done absolutely nothing while in his senate. He has no experience and has never made a major decision. Not to mention hes friends with a man who bombed 12 different sites across the country in the 70's (Bill Ayers).
This is a joke. There is no hope in Obama. The man is all talk. Has he ever accomplished anything? He has never done anything in his time as senate. He flip flops on this votes, hes an extremest and a Marxist and if he becomes president, say hello to complete control by the government.
Obama says one thing about working people in Scranton and another thing about them in San Francisco. Obama failed to protect the people of his own Chicago community from people like Tony Rezko. He bought a house with the help of Rezko. We can help our economy by drilling locally. As Palin points out, a community organizer is like the Mayor of a small town...only there is no responsibility. Obama is a "me first" not a Country First sort of person. Drill, baby, drill!
this video shows that it doesnt matter what party you are in the goverment it matters on wich of the nominees you think is going to do better for this country.
Look mate, 80% of Obama supporters may be morons, but the other 20% do see genuine worth and clarity in the man's politics. Dont assume the enemy doesnt understand your claim.
I am glad to see many long-time Republicans are seeing the truth about Obama, that his ideas on the economy, foreign policy and so many other issues are what we need at this tough time in our history.
I agree with that one guy about smaller gov't, less spending, but is Obama really going to provide that? Not that the Republicans will either. They do not believe in smaller gov't either!!! Bush bamboozled people into believing he wanted gov't out of our lives!!!
Your right, Ron Paul is our man. However, I dont see Obama raising overall taxes, and i certainly see him as the more socially liberal ( ie respecting the privacy and responsibility of the individual). The republicans use to be socially liberal, but have become distinctly totalitarian, un - american of late.
Actually the last movie star president was Ronald Reagan (R).
I'm not star-struck by him, I'm impressed by him. His campaign hasn't made this much progress because of one man, even if his name is strange and his skin is dark. It's come this far because of a message that honest, smart, hard-working Americans can identify with and get behind.
I respect John McCain and all he's done for our country. But he doesn't represent my interests. So stop touting propaganda and think for yourself.
Hell yeah, Americans PLEASE THINK when it comes to important issues and which party has your best interests in mind. The Democrats are FOR the middle class and the Republicans are for the rich. No way in hell will a Republican EVER get my vote, look how screwed up the American dream is right now, thanks to the Repuglicans!
if you are old enough to vote I hope you would not just base it on what you see on you tube and I hope you would be open minded enough to "see" both sides it is hard to see both sides but remember every story has two sides to it...........
i am from afghanistan and i am in suport of his policy towards afghanistan.. he is totaly right about whats happening in there and in pakistan.. terorists r in afghanistan and its borders but they r made in pakistan.. i hope he dosent suport this hamed karzai .. he is a failiar for afghanistan and its ppl and USA and whole world against teror.. his brothers r bigest smuglers and he has not aware of adminstration and democracy.. he is there just to colect money
I think many Americans would rather have more government the right way by following the constitution. That fear of large government has always been about limiting people's rights and this administration has done that in spades.
More social freedoms certainly! You know in being socially conservative, the republicans are countering the constitution time and time again. Right now, the Democrats are the party for America. Palin it seems, wants something slightly different...
i am an aussie and have been watching the primaries and now the general very closely. It is so comforting to think there are republicans with the intelligence to look outside the square and put the wellbeing of america and the world first reather than just guns and religion. we australians like you guys but PLEASE don't put the republicans again!!! don't do it to yourselves.. give obama ago.. if he doesn't deliver in the next 4 years then try again. go obama!!
We can't afford four years of more of the same. America is in jeopardy!
The Republican Party is in the pockets of big business and other special interests. And, the only candidate who has not accepted money from Washington lobbyists and PAC's is Senator Obama.
McCain is attacking Obama unfairly by having misleading ads about Obama's stance on taxes. Obama has said repeatedly that he will give tax cuts to 95% of the people, but McCain misleading and negative ads state that Obama will raise taxes. Mr. Obama please run nationwide ads stating that McCain is LYING AND MISLEADING people about your stance on tax cuts. He is openly lying and yet people believe him. According to Gallup poll, McCain now has a lead on Obama because of his lies about Obama.
Dwight Eisenhower's grandaughter, a lifelong republican, is supporting Obama. I support some of the ideas that repubs used to stand for (small govt, fiscal responsibility, strong military) but look at what's happened in the last 8 years. Largest expansion of the fed govt since the 60's, record deficit, broken military, biggest income gap since the 1920's, record mortgage failures (govt taking over Fannie and Freddie today).
I never cared about politics until the day I heard one of Obama's speeches. It changed me. This November I plan to vote for Obama, because I believe that he can bring change that we can believe in.
I'm a life long republican, but this time, this time I will vote for President Barack Obama. He is a beacon of hope. He is the best suited Presidential candidate who can deliver the much needed changes in Washington. He is a people's President. I'm very confident President Barack is what America needs at this hour. I'm voting for President Barack Obama.
I am a Libertarian who voted for Bushs B.S. I am voting for Obama I love how McCain is running on change from the Republican party. I was really pissed off at how they laughed at community organizing something I am passionate about. They are out of touch Cindy's $300,000 dress cost more than my house I only have one and know where it is
Her dress was like $3000 ... $280,000 of that price tag were her 3 carat diamond earrings. I support Obama, but we need to make sure we all get the facts right.
thank God for these enlightened republicans. those republicans who are voting for McCain and Palin because they are against abortion are just ridiculous evengelicals. They are the modern Pharisees who in their failure to do their responsibility to be a witness for Christ tried to compensate for their failure by turning the responsibility to government to make more laws, as if laws are really the answer to this moral problem.
its amazing, if u make less than 100,000 a year it doesnt make sense to be a republican these days, u would not benefit at all from it, its like your slappen yourself in the face. im a die hard democrat but if ron paul was the rep.canidate i would vote for him,but best choice that we have is obama. mccain knows nothing of the economy,or how to improve it,nor does he care. this election is so important to the legacy of this country, we need to put aside blue & red and vote obama in
Many conservatives are voting Obama. The republicans are 2 months from the election and don't have an economic plan. Not even a vague idea, and the platitudes they rely on, that resonate with their religious base. "Republican" used to unite economic conservatives and the religious base by having good fiscal sense and church values, but true conservatives have heard enough of the second and not enough of the first in the last 8 years.
Keep the faith, and don't be distracted by the right wing(haters of good). God is on our side because our cause is liberty and justice for "ALL". Yes We Can... because we must... future generations will either be very proud or very ashamed of what we do or dont do in this election.
It was great to see that older people were embracing the change. Usually, they tend to be set in their ways. I am so glad to see this video and want to share it with every Republican I know. "We have got to win this!"
Obama will inherit the republicans great economic mess in history but with barack obama and joe biden as a team america will get stronger and be a leader in the world once again. Obama/Biden 08
Yes, this is inspiring to see. Please try to convince others. Welcome aboard. We need every vote we can get to ensure that Obama is elected. Great video and glad to have you.
VOTE McCain and u will get 4 more Bullshit Years of George Bush Dont reward the Republicans 4 more years when they havent did anything for u the last 4 years.
Obama is great and i think he should win, but saying McCain is the same as bush is complete crap. sure they're both republicans but your statement is just demeaning and gives Obama supporters a bad name. Talk about why Obama is an amazing choice not why McCain is a horrible one.
I would love to be able to vote for McCain. Unfortunately, the man has NO PLAN. HAS ANYONE HEARD OF A PLAN FROM EITHER HIM OR PALI?? Please, let me know it, cause I've been watching these two for years now, and I can't remember a single solitary plan that McCain has. Concrete and simple to explain.
My friends please he's not going to fix this country alone, I support him and will vote for him, but it's up to us to do our own fixing on an individual level and a collective level.
Having lived in Colorado, and done some work in CO Springs, I can say that finding 3 Republicans for Obama in CO Springs is pretty amazing. It's a town that calls itself "Ground Zero for the Christian Right." It makes me more hopeful than ever that America will get back on the right track in November with Obama/Biden. The alternative is chilling to contemplate.
Can someone explain to me why McLame claims to be qualified to lead the country? I know for a fact that they dont teach economics to soldiers, so how does he know how to pull USA out of this complex economic down turn? Maybe little elves will tell him how in his sleep?
I need people to be able to keep the houses so I can keep mine. Plese vote Obama/Biden 08I need that 1000$ tax cut and that cheaper insurance please!!
I think it is funny how Republicans are all about "small town values". One of those small town values is when you marry someone you stay married. I just think it is funny how they contradict themselves so much. But there are some republicans out there who are genuine.
If Obama loses this election, I think it is a very real possibility that this country will hit a bottom so low they will never be able to bounce back. The entire rest of the world is passing us by at an alarmingly fast rate. If this continues not only will we not be a superpower anymore, but we won't be a regular power either. I shudder to think what would happen with John McBush as president, because it will be 4 more years of exactly the same crap weve lived through for 8 years now.
Here's what I have to say to all the people freaking out over the McCain bounce this week: Calm down, it's just a bounce. More than likely Obama will have a +2 to +4 lead over McCain by the end of the week. Plus, we still have the debates coming up. So we'll see how that goes.
Iam so glad to see this, because what I have learned in these last 3 yrs since I have become politicaly alert is that there are decent republicans out there and we shouldnt lump them all together.I think what we are dealing with Mcain and Palin and the people who follow them are whole different type of people. They are the extremist of this party and yes they are scary and dangerous.
I think you are great for supporting Obama. There are some Republicans who are intelligent. I don't know where we'll be in four years with McCain and Palin. The truth is that we can't afford the wars they want us to fight. I can't see why so many people are exited about fighting more wars.
Im Sure This is Only a very small percentage of republicans that will vote for Obama, There is More, i know there is... Obama for President!!! He's our only Hope!!!
This Lady is very BLESSED, the truth was in front of her and she seen it! A lot of people choose not to hear or see the truth, but this lady shows there is HOPE!

It is nice to see old timer republicans get more involved and brake the mold of old worn out views and failed policies. Go Obama!!!!!

God Bless America.

It's beautiful, really. Regardless of your party ties, anyone should see that McCain is a bad idea for America.
thatbostonchick 3 years ago
thank God for these enlightened republicans. those republicans who are voting for McCain and Palin because they are against abortion are just ridiculous evengelicals. They are the modern Pharisees who in their failure to do their responsibility to be a witness for Christ tried to compensate for their failure by turning the responsibility to government to make more laws, as if laws are really the answer to this moral problem.
JWKSGK 3 years ago
its amazing, if u make less than 100,000 a year it doesnt make sense to be a republican these days, u would not benefit at all from it, its like your slappen yourself in the face. im a die hard democrat but if ron paul was the rep.canidate i would vote for him,but best choice that we have is obama. mccain knows nothing of the economy,or how to improve it,nor does he care. this election is so important to the legacy of this country, we need to put aside blue & red and vote obama in
DUGLESSM 3 years ago
Many conservatives are voting Obama. The republicans are 2 months from the election and don't have an economic plan. Not even a vague idea, and the platitudes they rely on, that resonate with their religious base. "Republican" used to unite economic conservatives and the religious base by having good fiscal sense and church values, but true conservatives have heard enough of the second and not enough of the first in the last 8 years.
rsongia 3 years ago
Keep the faith, and don't be distracted by the right wing(haters of good). God is on our side because our cause is liberty and justice for "ALL". Yes We Can... because we must... future generations will either be very proud or very ashamed of what we do or dont do in this election.

This is understandable, after what Bush has done, I can see why many Republicans would want Obama to win, I believe in him.

So after all the paleocons jump ship, what's left in McCain's voter base, which is still disturbingly high. We've got what:
1) cultists and/or single issue religious conservatives
2) self-centered rich folk
3) sycophants who think they are or will be rich
4) Oblivious flag wavers
5) Pro-gridlockers
4) Those who shall remain nameless
??
It's disturbing that so many people these days fall into one of the above categories.

Frida707 3 years ago
I think you are great for supporting Obama. There are some Republicans who are intelligent. I don't know where we'll be in four years with McCain and Palin. The truth is that we can't afford the wars they want us to fight. I can't see why so many people are exited about fighting more wars.
