My wife died with this disease in 2001. She had been having treatment for non hodgkins lymphoma and this atrocious illness seemed to explode after a course of radiation treatment she had. They say there's no link between the radiation and the paraneoplastic pemphigus but it seemed too much of a coincidence. It was a relentless disease, even affecting her eyes (they looked like panda eyes) and she was blind towards the end as well. An absolutely awful disease.
