  • Guess what I just pressed? DOWN RATE BUTTON!!!

  • Am i the only one that noticed that the alarm isn't loud? I guess they didnt wanna wake the elderly.... haha

  • CAN ANYBODY HEAR ME?

  • jail jail jail jail

  • That Button Is For EMERGENCY Use Only Please Do Not Press The Alarm Is An Not Emergency Good Video By dieselducy

  • crazy alarm

  • stuk?

  • AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH FIRE EVEERYWON OUT OF THE HOTEL!!!!! Nice!

  • I think I know how it works! The elevator shaft has openings to the outside so that birds can come and go as they please. When someone presses the alarm button, a robot arm grabs a bird by their foot, and they panic and start making that noise.

  • Well, this chirp that OTIS uses is MUCH better than the beeps Schindler and KONE uses. ThyssenKrupp uses the old fashioned bell.

  • Yes and I don't go around ringing alarms anymore as you are right! I spent over an hour requesting assistance in a broken elevator in my dorm because people ignored the alarm..

  • @dieselducy sould of calles 911 fire and rescue

  • @redneckelevatorman you suck

  • @redneckelevatorman WTF the back up batterys will be rechargerble ringing a bell will not drain them unless there is no mains power even if there isnt any power and you drain the battery when the power is restored the batterys will recharge

  • stupid alarm nobody would hear it. u will stuck in that elevator for the rest of ur life..

  • unless there is a working phone :)

  • Wow. Your cool.

  • It sounds like a car alarm

  • That sound lol

  • Don't play with the elevator alarm!

  • Is the elevator a Otis elevator?

  • what if a fire fighter came thru the door and kicked you in the face for pressing that button

  • Some people think it's a bird. Listen to it.

  • The alarm is only for emergencies...I THOUGHT YOU KNEW THAT!

  • LOL!

  • I accidentally pressed the Alarm button in that same kind of Otis once. I meant to hit the Door Close but the Alarm was right under it.

  • Sounds like the Anti-Theft Alarm System on all 1999 and newer Mercedes-Benz model! Try pushing the "Panic" button on an MB Smartkey once.

  • Or on a Hyundai.

  • in brazil a lot of the alarms aren't properly connected. i was stuck in an elevator in brazil and the alarm button didn't work. luckily it was a see-thru elevator in a hotel so i managed to attract some attention by waving my hands and tapping the glass.

  • i once got stuck in a lift (English word for elevator) and when i pressed the alarm the fire brigade came to get us out. if the lift hadn't been jammed we would have been in a LOT of trouble.

i hope some poor old dear wasn't denied help after because they were too busy trying to get to you to help you out the lift. it may be fun but just think before you do it. ok?

  • unfortunately, most alarm bells here are not remotely monitered. some lifts have phones but alot dont. once i was stuck in the lift in my dorm, it broke and I had to ring the bell for over an hour before anybody came to check on me. the only reason i got help is because i held the alarm button and somebody couldnt sleep, so they finally called 911. no phone in the lift.

  • new kone and otis elevators have a KoneXion (KONE) and REM (otis) monitoring systems i get stuck to new kone when blackout i pushed alarm then the elevator calls to Kone service...

  • That's what happens when you cry wolf in elevators, karma is a bitch!

  • I actually asked before i made this. I did this in my grandmothers retirement home and a nurse was outside the elevator.

  • You can only press the alarm only when the elevator is jammed

  • No. Only if it connects to the phone you can't push it.

  • i wonder if i would the ark (family church) wouldnt care if i rung the elevator alarm (Schindler elevator) besides theres no security cam in there and i wnder how loud it is (i will find out tommorow)

  • you shouldnt press the alarm

  • why not?

  • someone one youtube that starts with a K said that some amlarms are set to the sercurity office and you could get kicked out or it would get somones attention think somones stuck and call the fire depatartment you could get in trouble for but if I owned a store I wouldnt care if somone would press the alarm for fun as long as they dont use the ohone or pull the fire alarm but some people have 0 tulernacy an get really mad for pressing the alarm

  • That is only the case for taller buildings. When I was at the Marriott Marquis in Atlanta, someone bumped the button, and Security came on the intercom.

  • what did they say when they came on?

  • "Are y'all alright in there?"

  • in the netherlands you have to hold the button for like 5-10 seconds before it activates the phone.

  • Here, the alarm button never activates a phone - it just makes noise and can be sometimes be seen by security officials. American elevators always have a separate phone button or cabinet.

  • yeah, here the alarm button activates the phone and a alarm horn after you hold it it for 5-10 seconds.

  • same here, but it activates straight away the horn and after 4 secs it connects to KONE service center if its kone.

  • But at an elevator in NYC while I visited, I pushed the alarm by mistake and it activated the phone.

  • inderdaad

  • Otis elevators are common in many places. I like Otis elevators.

  • That sounds more like a car alarm!

  • Is that legal???????????????????????????!!!!!!!!

  • Well, you can get kicked out of the building for improper use and worse, to get fined.

  • OUCH!!!!

  • it depends who owns the building if its a bitch then its Ileagal if its a nice person who likes to have fun and check things out then they wouldnt mind

  • It's not illegal

  • lol i like that alarm love otis there classics like ford trucks

  • otis elevator

  • yep it is a good ole' otis!!

  • i could tell by the buttons

  • me too. Otis elevators are common in many places.

  • What do you mean? Otis owns!

  • Otis is trusted in hospitals and also made the fastest elevator in North America!

Otis is better than ThyssenKrupp or Schindler!
