Unfortunately, I hadn't heard of Marlene Dietrich, The Blue Angel or Falling in Love again until after I saw this commercial.

Usually I hate when good songs are used in commercials, but this is an exception to my rule.

I am 16 the only time i watched this was on VHS The Lost would - Jurassic Park i just watched it again and it blew my mind 2 see and hear it again Because its been so long. made my day :)

I remember seeing this at the beginning of Lost world Jurassic Park on VHS. It's been in my head ever since. I love it. It's a beautiful song. I did notice the omission of WW2. Can't blame them...

I have one of the original copies of The Lost World: Jurassic Park with the same commercial. Unfortunately, some of the tape is crunched up, so I had to get the 2001 copy of the movie but it dosen't have this commercial. I got a new DVD/VCR combo set, but I'm afraid to put my original copy in for fear that I might screw the inside of the VCR. But I would like to say thanx to TheNostalgiaSpot for bringing back old memories, even though I'm more of a Lincoln fan. God Bless The 1990s.

Mercedes WERE a great car company, until they started cost cutting in the 90s, and introducing too many silly new models (A, B, R, etc). Nowadays the cars are far too common on the roads and it's tarnished the brand image.

I loved this commercial since I saw it prior to watching 'The Lost World' and have scrambled to find it ever since, The song in the commercial was in the end credits of "The Spirit' and it kinda renewed my need to find it. Thank you very much for posting this.

I remember first seeing this advertisement on The Lost World: Jurassic Park VHS. It was so beautifully done, and I loved how they started and ended with Dietrich, but incorporated other voices throughout most of the ad. It really makes you think of Mercedes as "THE" car company. They put this Mercedes commercial (which I happen to love) before the opening credits to the 2nd Jurassic Park film because the film featured the new M-Class SUV. That was the first time the public got to see the new M-Class before Mercedes actually built it, just like GoldenEye where the BMW Z3 roadster was featured.

This commercial is my all-time favorite. Thanks so much for posting it. Back in fall 1997 the ABC Network used to air the full-length (90 seconds long) version of this commercial every weeknight directly before the beginning of the Nightline with Ted Koppel program. I'd make a point of tuning in and watching it every night I was home. The full-length version starts with just Marlene Dietrich singing and then slowly one by one the other voices join in until the full chorus is singing.
