  • i wonder how it feels to sleep in a room of that rotating building... how bout the feeling of jet lag? hehehe

  • Dubai is rushing to build all these crazy structures before their source of revenue runs out...OIL.

  • @TrumpetHero15 yea but they want to be a financial and business capital, and a tourist city + they have a lot of green energy now like solar and wind power to last them many years. im starting to think that they will soon be ready for when the oil is gone.

  • that would be cool

  • NEW YORK BETTER ALLOW IT!

  • Engineers are the ones that are gonna actually figure this out, but would be a good edition to New York

  • Just what we need. Another distraction for motorists who are already dangerous who will now be staring at this freakish perversion of architecture. Look for more accidents, people.

  • @subjoy1 why only in las vegas?

  • Comment removed

  • this is nice, but what purpose does it serve? i like the idea of arcologies like the dubai vertical city and shimizu mega-city pyramid

  • I couldn't live in one of those apartments. I get motion sickness just riding in cars. Anyone who suffers from motion sickness (and many young kids do) couldn't live in a continually moving apartment, any more than they could live in a houseboat.

  • he will build it like he said. i follow this story long time now. this guy is unreal!

  • Fuck you

  • i dont see the point in that building..i like my buildings to stay still

  • U reckon u cud do it in 20 months? I bet u can't do it before 2012!

  • Can't wait for someone to step through their apartment door while this thing is shifting, only to get chopped in half because the central spine is static.

  • I am so living in that building when I am like 18 or 20

  • @LiveLongJake yeh wait till your 18 and realise that it costs to live everywhere

  • i think, david fisher said yesterday on The Breakfast Show(Malaysia morning show)

the first world rotating tower will be build in New York n the construction will begin next week!

  • @Mrginger5005 That is incorrect. They have already started on the tower in Dubai and it has been in development for atleast a year and a half.

  • @masterfongv2 i thought the tower would not be built because Dubai is not enough money .. haha wrong information..sorry,hope that one world will has this tower.

    it is so AMAZING! =]

  • @Mrginger5005 lol. As of right now Dubai is one of the richest cities in the world (dont know for how long though, u know with oil starting to decrease and all). They also don't call it the architectural playground of the world for a reason =P

  • Motion sickness. Who would really want to be in a building that moves all the time. And how the hell does the elevator work? I mean if the floor is moving as you get off the elevator lift, wouldn't you get crushed in the doorway or is the entire inside of the inner wall not there? No load bearing structure = a failure at x load capacity. I could just see a major wind storm breaking off sections like a lego piece.

  • @coptersoisoi this is is why we have engineers to solve those problems...........so u just sound like a mega hater right now whos scared of anything new and different smdh

  • @coptersoisoi I'm sure all those issues have been taken into consideration. We're not living some kind of comedy cartoon like futurama.

  • Foock dubai! go new york!

  • WHY DUBAI!?!??!?! It's a city on the brink of failure!! build it in an actually good city!!

  • OMFG IT ACTUALLY MOVES?

  • Thumbs up if you checked dubai in google earth!!

  • the architect is doing the interviews, the engineer is doing the work

  • would feel sick living there, but being sick in style

  • @boltjet135 i kno right, beauty is pain lol but 4real this building is awesome

  • @rayswag how tall

  • Can you hear me now?

  • WOW

  • Am I the only one who finds this girl's voice infuriatingly annoying?

  • the idiot has never built a skyscraper before...

he wants to start with a rotating one...

  • where do they want to build iit in new york ?

  • if happen to people inside when stop machine then will broke down one thing problem should test before build more safe first.

  • Great architectural innovation indeed, but what is the real significance of building an expensive dynamic structure when terrorism exists in this superficial world. Must be more impressive if they build a bomb-proofed, environment-friendly, or a more seism-resistant building. It pleases my eyes but not my thoughts....

  • @TheOmniphiliac How many skyscrapers exist in Dubai, Moscow and New York together? 10 thousand maybe? How many of them have ever been targets of terrorism? Two of them nine years ago. So no, building for terrorism isn't smart. Plus, doing that would be a monument showing that terrorism succeeded in crippling us.

  • @TheOmniphiliac It IS environment friendly, didn't you see the part about the wind turbines?

  • @TheOmniphiliac You jerk call this world "superficial", then go on with the terrorism hoax. Laughable.

  • @TheOmniphiliac the design and thinking behind it are great - however i do agree, it is now irrelevant if it does not exist to complement the times we live in. it is such a shame that it is being wasted on dubai.

  • Hey JEW york! Liberals esp JEWS have fought their own country for 50 years now and have finally suceeded in putting a dark-skinned TRAITOR in the white house to "trash the System" which used to protect YOU. Leering and defending known rapists and murderers in court on CONSTITUTIONAL TECHNICALITIES. What's nigbama think of your constition NOW fools? Filthy mexicans swamping the south. Raghead islamics saturating JEW york. Welcome to JEW york city, TERRORISM CAPITAL OF THE WORLD! FOOLS!

  • that skyscraper looks like the marker from Dead Space

  • italian?????????

  • Mos-cow...

  • dat wud b awesum if it was built bt i dnt tink it will hapen.....who knws???

  • its possible!!!

  • soo imposible

  • Nothing is impossible. Nothing.

  • ok.. good point, but still, how the hell can they do this... its a DAMN good idea, i just dont see how it is possible

  • Yeh I guess it could be built in the future but not now.

  • your right.... i could shuve a stick of explosives up my ass and light the fuse then throw myself off a skyscraper and explode in the air.... but il still live because nothing is impossible

  • yes very true the stick of dynamite could be a nanometre big. :)

  • this could be built..... what is imposible is a city gettin the money together to build it...

  • haaa Weak, stupid italian expansive ideas

  • yeh how could you sleep with it continuosly moving

  • @Mystery3318 cuz it moves very slowly.....its been sped up in the video

  • oh helll naw i would never live in that.

  • Future huh!!!

That is going to be one crazy skyscraper

  • That's stupid..if that was made it wouldnt last very long it would be destroyed instantly i bet it woulndt last a few months if even that

  • @sora295 The bearings that keep the floors spinning would require a lot of upkeep I believe.

  • @KNIGHTCleric I bet you £5 the world doesn't end in 2012

  • I bet you £1,000,000,000 the world doesnt end in 2012.

Cos if it does, I can't pay you anyways =P.

  • More epic epicness from the worlds epicly epic cities.

  • if i had an apartment in that building i would shit myself

  • Lookin at that iz makin me dizzy lol

  • I was there!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i do not get were the elecrical wires and plumbing go

  • @stampeders123

all the utilities passes thru the central shaft which doesnt rotate... a very realistic project

  • something these ''dreamers'' don't think about everything. You have a good point.

  • when each building stops moving it snaps into a preset position connecting to another pipe in the middle

  • That's just dumb!

  • Good, cheap and fast don't go well together. Applies to everything.

  • example?

  • wouldnt it be annoying as hell to be always moving

  • It's a all new world baby!

  • how would someone use lifts

  • I lived in Dubai... It is awesome.. I went to Our Own English High School

  • Wow !

  • They should have rims in these buildings for emergency's...

  • i sense a really nasty accident will happen if thats built

  • scary stuff, if its built it wont last long, itll require too much attention and care.

  • its ugly, destroying the beauty of the old fashion new york i hate all this jetsons looking shit buuildings fuck it, new york will look ugly by 2035 if this shit happens

  • What? are you kidding New York would look awesome!

  • save this jetson looking mess for Chicago or Tokyo but not New york over half the city is art deco old fashion building, mix these big glass buildings in , ugly, its like when somebody mix match colors dont know what to wear,

  • There already building glass buildings there.

  • n i dont like it, i like these designs just not in new york

  • Comment removed

  • give a man a try :)))

  • it is a great idea but the wind turbines between the floors is not going to work, seems like they should really think about the design before they really begin on a project like that

  • Really.. Hes an architect, a fucking good architect.. And your telling us he is wrong?

  • "Fisher acknowledges that he is not well known, has never built a skyscraper before and hasn't practiced architecture regularly in decades." Yes I believe he is wrong. Not only that he is an architect not an engineer. The spinning building idea is a great idea but I doubt the wind turbines will work to provide a decent amount of power, seems like a waste of metal blades.

  • ok dr. souldrudaddy since your the expert

  • He is getting close to retirement and probably knows himself it's not a practical design, understanding that 'feasible' and 'practical' are two different things. Maybe he's just looking to inspire younger architects, getting them to use their imaginations. Sometimes you gotta shoot for 10 if your actual goal is 7.

  • my ass...

  • Cool

  • thats just freakin awesome if he can really build it

  • @shortyfilmsSM he alredy has the blueprints

  • @shortyfilmsSM can't wait to see it a come crashing down

  • Archigram was visionary group from the '60, they had an idea-right or wrong- about society. But today why spend money to build a thing like that, what's the matter? maybe to afflict people with sea-sick? Once we used to have some architects as genius, real visionary, nowadays just a bunch of exhibitionists... that idea sucks

  • how do the people feel inside rotatin building? How fast the rotation?

  • i wanna hand up to dynamic architecture..

  • hot

  • Won't that be um... noisy??

  • the only thing that sucks about dubai is that it's completely flat, so when it rains, it floods the roads. Kinda.

  • but it doesnt rain their much, huh?

  • Forgive me.

  • The burj dubai is already almost complete. I think you sources are lying.

  • I'm glad David is trying something new and diffcult. We all need to push ourself.

  • yes but in the right direction

  • Whats in the right direction?

  • alot of things, just make sure its right, some people think they going in the right direction and then when they go too far they find it was the wrong way...

  • Do I turn at lexon road or should I take the highway unto route 45?

  • Not true. The video just said all the places it would be build. Dubai just happens to be the first.

  • It isnt gonna spin as fast in the video, itll probably have one rotation per floor every few hours or so.

  • 80 floors, wow!

  • Comment removed

  • it's powered by wind turbines installed in the mid of each floors my brother..

  • People should jump offf FT lolol

  • wow

  • wow ground floor would be pretty deadly, freedom tower looks cool, but i think its just its name.

  • Just make sure airports are safe!

  • This building is AWESOME !

    I cant wait to see it ! : )

And I hope they will rebuild the Twin Towers in New York!

  • you keeping smoking some weed man

  • i wonder what his phd is in

  • grow up . stupid chain mail crap . sad bastards. Also , that design is amazing

  • The only negative is that anyone who stares at it for longer than 2 seconds immediately vomits.

  • I feel sorry for the people who live/work near the building. Having to see it continously rotating for every second of your life would be a head aches best friend.

  • There is one problem: The 1st floor

How are you going to enter it?

  • It might be a base on a trophy like the Statue of Liberty.

  • id say u jus radomly jump at the door and hope u get in

  • that wouldnt work

you office or flat would never be at the same place, you'd have to keep circulin the floor until you found it

and the wind turbines would be noisy and vibrate the floors

would b gud if it worked

  • someone should just evacuate NYC, nuke it, and build a modern day pyramid thats 10,000 feet tall. this way, the US will be ahead for a looooong time.

  • humm you got a lot of football fans that would be unhappy with that lol

  • What about New World Trade Center? There was only 1 building and it was very stainge. Spining all the time. What The Hell!

  • what will we come up next?

  • thats amazin lol

  • it would make everyone sick, movin that fast

  • no cuz it is going to be rotating very slowly...the rotation is not so that people feel rotating but so that you never have the same view all day :)

  • i cant wait for it to be built... (i hope it gets built in NY)

  • I think it will be the furure ..... it's ery good ... !

  • we need to kill him bofer he kill's 10'0000s of people.

  • its gonna be so unstable...

  • ahhh....this guys has never built a skyscrapper before? .. its a building I would never want to get in

  • as excellent as it is, it will be an eyesore in the NY skyline

    stick with dubai.

  • eh let us americans make our own awesome futuristic buildings that wouldnt look right

  • Yeah, but what if there were 50 of these rotating buildings. Then they's look like they belonged! ; )

Everyone thought the WTC would be/was an eyesore. Do you ever not see them when you look at the skyline now?

  • make one in New York 700 meters tall that will be another middle finger towards Chicago

    FUCK U CHICAGO

  • you should be worried about hong kong and dubai. Supertall competition has left the U.S.

  • Oooh Keaphar, I sense some kind of inferiority complex with Chicago. Remember, its not the length of the wand, but the magic in it.

  • actually i think its both

and i do understand wat u said

  • Not based on my experience. ; )

    Yours?

  • BUILD IT IN NEW YORK!! IT'S AMAZING!!

  • it will build in dubai not new york loooool and it will build beside the most expensive hotel in the world.and i'm from dubai that's why i'm lucky

  • arent the people in the boulding gonna get dizy??

  • I somehow have doubts on this building...he even wants to try it in dubai and moscow firts so that if the buildings dont collapse in these places he will then proceed to NY...

  • but they said he has never built even a normal skyscraper before....and he is already dreaming of the rotating one....lol we'll soon see

  • No one believed that Ferris' wheel would work! It was the hit of the World's Fair and who hesn't ever ridden one!

  • nice

  • ciool

  • whoa

  • why is this video promoted?

  • how do you know if they're promoted or not?
