thats fucking awesome. i gotta 1998 dakota sport 3.9 automatic 4x4.Its my everyday driver for now but in a few years when it dies i wanna make it a lowered 2wd street truck with a 440 bigblock and a 5 speed. Whatd it run you to do a conversion on your truck? just to get and idea of what it would cost me

@canonisthebomb total? around 12 grand. the motor build was about $5,000 the TKO gearbox was $2,000 and another $2-3K for the bell housing, clutch, flywheel, shifter, drive shaft, etc. if you want to do this, I'd start with a cheap beater V6 2wd truck. the frames are different, and you can't just "take out the front axle" the entire suspension is different. you'll be much further ahead and cheaper/easier to start with a 2wd truck good luck!
