green anoles are not supposed to be sold for feeders. You could have bought a mouse or something with more nutrition and cheaper. there is really no point in feeding him something thats not good for him

@xinic5 I try not to buy anything from Wal-Mart unless its in the line of a movie or a game, sometimes I get some polish for my car. I mostly use the NEX to buy my meats or food products and try to keep the foods to the local farms. Im against China-Mart and grit my teeth anytime I walk through its doors at the putrid smell of it and oddly enough, my eyes always itch when im in Walmart.

They can, it's cute when they are small, but some never clam down and when that lizard gets 4 feet long you wount like it nipping at you, really it's the tail you have to watch out for.

Savannah monitors don't even really need enclosures once they're fully grown. Mine just slept in a heated hut in the corner, pooped in a litterbox full of water, and patrolled the house regularly. To my experience, they're less likely than cats and dogs to get themselves into trouble.
I find it rather bad that people will complain more because it is an anole gettin eaten...if they were prekilled like most most then I don't see a single problem but I do disagree with live feeding because it can cause unessesary (sp) suffering if the animal does not die fast enough.
Monitors are tougher than you think. Mine has been chewed on by rodents before and came away without a scratch. And to the people who are against this video, keep in mind that monitors require variety in their diet to flourish and that they eat live prey in the wild. Giving him live prey is the best way to keep him excersized and stimulated.

yeah we have a solomon island tree boa thats a picky eater and will only eat green anoles so we always have a few on hand, i assure you it wasn't a pet nor is it part of her regular diet.

Well that is a little mean, but hey, a carnivarous lizard has to eat. My monitors eat all kinds off things, bugs, mice, guinea pigs... I have fish and turtles that eat fish. Frog that eats mice and stuff like that... Ferrets eat mice and rodents too did you know that you judgemental prick? Why not post on the people who think it's hilarious to introduce a chiuahuah or cat to a medium sized sav?

it wasn't a pet. its a feeder anole. we have a solomon island tree boa, that will only eat anoles, so we always have a couple on hand. Though my sav would enjoy it.
