Minarchism/libertarianism is a self detonating philosphy. If you champion the non aggression principle as your guiding light (which most libertarians do) then you can not be for ANY laws or taxation.

Minarchism is a libertarian capitalist political philosophy. It maintains that the state is necessary and that its only legitimate function is the protection of individuals from aggression, theft, breach of contract, and fraud, and the only legitimate governmental institutions are the military, police, and courts.

@AussieAustrianBlog Even if we live in Anarcho-capitalist nirvana: A private law society, there are still private security companies. And they work to protect their members/subscribers my use of force.

The only difference to a state sponsered security firm is that such a security system has a monolopy on the use of force, and will always protect the Government in cases that involve the government.

Next time understand what you try to advocate.

@needtoalwayslearn Incorrect. Firstly, in a private law society "anarcho capitalist nirvana" all exchanges are voluntary, that is, no use of force to join a particular security co. (unlike govt where aggression is used against me to join). Secondly, members are only defended by use of force in cases of self defence. This is ethical and consistent with libertarian principle. I fail to see how your comment has proven me wrong or of not understanding the topic. Quite baffled really.
