Also, my gun still has the magazine safety installed. Unless I'm pressing against the magazine with the palm of my hand they come shooting out when I hit the release. Only in the heat of switching magazines the palm of my hand seems to get in the way most of the time.

Oh as far as a 22 LR rifle Ruger 10/22 best one hands down, in our opinion. CCI mini mag, and CCI Stinger have been the best performing as as well...

You can't go wrong with a Ruger hand gun or rifle although i have been thinking about a S&W 15/22 i heard some good thing about that rifle.
