  • i like how that bug there just quit after a second in that pool

  • Is it blind? Use the moth as a raft. T_T

  • Awesome! I just aquired one yesterday. I shot a short vid of it.

  • that thing is huge mine is about 5 cm tall ._.

  • @tellemscrappy this is a small one. these plants can grow to be over 100 years old and will form huge clusters of traps - so huge, they form their own micro-ecosystem

  • wow i didnt even notice the water, awesome plant right there

  • ae the nats attracted to the water?

  • @mayorwest12 no, the gnat doesn't even notice the water. the red veins of the plant go under the clear water making it look invisible. the gnat is licking the sides of the plant between the dangerous downward-pointing hairs where sugary nectar is being produced. that's its mistake. it wasn't expecting water to be below it

  • @Piranhaboy01 oooo ok so they smell the scent of nectar stuff and then the end 4 them, yo can u feed it crickets? can u feed a venus crickets too?

  • @mayorwest12 yea you can even feed it frogs

  • Gant "fjakfjaslkjfakfjakfjalsdkfjljfaslfjdaslfjajtiej tintasej. Oh i give up."

  • my ppp also is full of those little gnats there too. they are strangely attracted to it

  • heart shape ftw!

  • Beautiful veining! S purpurea is one of my fav plants.

  • how long dose it take to fill upwith acid mine has a criket in it but it jus wnt fil up y is that?

  • @scotarriaga3 ur suppose 2 put water in them just this kind needs water in them

  • @scotarriaga3 you need to let it sit outside in the rain

  • @theamazingplant2 Can I just put distilled water in the trap?

  • @MFWFW yes/ try to fill it up only about three fourths or half way up from the top. though in the first year the trap usually secretes its own juices if its given enough sun.

  • @MFWFW yes

  • is that acid there falling in to?

  • No it is a weak digestiv fluid but what does most of the digestin is bacteria in the water.

  • thanks and how big is it

  • I dont know how big this one is but they will get fairly large. Theres another cideo of this one with two large yellow jackets drowning.
