What bindings would you recomend for a park rider i dont do to much because ive only been riding park and on a mountain for a year but i can 360 a 15 footer and nose press 180 out on boxes.Should I go with Union Forces or Burton Malvitas.PLEASE respond, thanks
@thehouseboardshop I was looking into UNION or TECHNINE...I am always in the park. What bindings from those companies would you recomend and what burton EST bindings would you recomend??Thanks
@247shredding Union Force all the way! As far as EST binding go. The Mission or Malavita would be a good bindings for the park.. Personally I like the C60.
@pokecpnetwork Yeah, this is a great board for a beginner to start on. It's got a nice soft flex, twin shape, the Channel gives the board great performance. You'll really like it. And probably won't need a wide. The waist width is the perfect size for a size 10 foot. But it's right at the cut off point so you don't really have any room to grow.
@calbin346 EST is a feature on Burton bindings that is compatible with the Channel. It's not a binding it self. And no the Freestyle don't come in EST. A good match for this board would be the Custom EST bindings.
Ok but I'm really into snowboarding, so if the directional flex is going to suck switch I don't want the board but if the directional switch isn't that much differant than twin flex I think it will be fine. I don't know do you think I should get this board or somehow get more money for the Burton twin or something? Because I still want a good switch experience because I want to progress I don't want my board holding me back.
@boarder4ife I'm telling you man it really isn't that huge of a difference, but if you don't think you'll like it then don't get it because you'll just be paranoid about it the whole time. Plus if you're looking at getting a board with a Channel just get a twin and for pow and what not you'll have switch on the fly stance. Problem solved.
@11clax Stance is specific to each person and not based on your riding style. Basically it comes down to how your hips are positioned on your body. The best way to figure it out is jump in the air and land on your board. Take note of how far apart your feet are and the angles they are pointing. Set your bindings to match that and then after you test it out on the snow fine tune it from there to make your stance more comfortable. Experiment with it a little too. Forward lean, width, angles...
hi i currently have the nitro t2 snowboard its awesome fo jumps but i need a more flexy board abd i saw a really good deal for this board online. i rode the burton x8 and i loved it it has way better flex than the t2 and i was wondering if this board would be good for me doing a lot of park and some 40 ft jumps. please help me out
@boarder4ife Yeah this will be a good board for you for sure. It's super flexy and I know a few people that live and die by Burton's rocker boards. You're gonna love it!
@thehouseboardshop well i looked it up and it says it has a directional flex and i ride switch just as much as regular is that going to effect anything?
@boarder4ife No, directional flex gives you more power in powder, but it's still fine for riding switch. Yeah, a twin flex is better for switch, but it will still work.
@11clax Well, yes and no. If you really want Unions you can buy a disc that will attach them to the Channel. BUT, EST bindings are what was made to attach to Burton ICS boards. If I were you I would just go with Burton EST bindings.
@11clax For sure, I personally am a big fan of the speed lacing system. Above even traditional lacing and boa systems. You're really gonna like that. As far as how comfortable they are gonna be, they should be great, but everybody's foot is different and it's hard to say for a fact it will be perfect for you. It's always a good idea to try on boots before you buy. But yes, as far as tech they're also a good match.
what set up would you recommend. I was thinking of hooking it up with a blue-yellow 2010 exile and I do have the adapter to adapt normal bindings to the EST system.
@GenisisETR The Exile's are great bindings and they would go really good with the Dominant, both performance and style wise. The blue and yellow Exile actually are EST, but they come in regular too.
@Sk8bordr125 Probably best to go with the Twin. I say that because of the three the Twin has the stiffest flex and in powder you're going to want something that will hold up and not fold like a noodle. But the flex is only a 4 so it will still be pressable in the park. Because park and powder are at opposite ends of the riding pole, to ride them both with the same board try and find something right in the middle.
Get a two part epoxy. Slide the mix in with a popsicle stick. Clamp it up and file the excess when it dries. Wax every 5-10 times out (whenever your base gets ashy near the edges).
i love this snowboard so much. its like the best board for pressing. i just ahve a question i got a chip a little smaller than 1 inch up the board and about 1 cm wide, should i just take that off or get some super glue and fix that baby. I dont want to bring it in to the shop. You also said you dont have to wax that much so how often should i do it( i wax my self)

Can i use 2011 bindings with a converter disc for my 146 Dominant?PLEASE respond,thanks

@247shredding Yes you can. but you will not get all of the benefits of the ICS. I would pick up some EST bindings. You will not be disappointed.
