becoming paralyzed is nothing easy to swallow, i have big respect for that guy and the family supporting him. this always was one of my greatest fears, and yet there he is still smiling.. the will power is truly amazing. thank you for sharing this video.

his strength will change the lives of all those around him(he too was a quadriplegic). this is what my uncle did for myslelf. i commend you and your son, still being able to put on a smile after such a tragic accident. there is still hope and with the advancements in tenchnology and the will of a strong individual, anything is possible. unfortunaltely, he passed away 40 years after the accident. However, there was not a day in his life where he didn' make others smile and feel loved.

I just saw this video and all I can say is hang in there. I'm a C-3/C4 incomplete quadriplegic. I was injured in Afghanistan but it doesn't matter where or how your injured. You obviously have a strong support system. My hats off to you and I wish you the best of everything. By the way, looks like you got off the ventilator. Now that's an awesome achievement. Do you still sleep with it or use a bi pap machine? Took three trips to the VA hospital figure out I needed help breathingwith sleeping.

I'm C4-5 Inc. I regained upper-body & full sensation, finished school, traveled the world, am finishing my Master's. Things won't really get better, but you will learn to adapt better. I still wake up in moments of utter disbelief ("did this really happen? To ME?"), but you'll see, life will go on & you'll go along w/it :-) It's tacky, IMO, to be soliciting monies for exercise equipment, but whatever. (sorry if this is a double post) :-) I wish you all the best!!

I also have a C4-5 injury (horse threw me off). I won't BS you and say things will get better (they really won't), BUT you WILL learn how to deal with them better. Like with everyone else, some days are really hard, you wake up in disbelief and think, "This happened to *me*?", but like someone said, life goes on. I'm "lucky" in the sense I regained upper-body use, and have full feeling, went back to school, traveled the world, now finishing my Master's. I think it's a bit tacky, soliciting money

One important thing Ive learned is NEVER give up even when it seems dark, I got some return all the way through my first 7 years of my injury, small stuff but huge to a quad! I plan on posting some videos here in the near future of me shooting a .50 caliber & some other guns, doing some 4 wheeling and just daily git er done kind of stuff to try to help out if I can.
