  • Wonderful piece. I love the character of the dancers.

  • This piece shows a beautiful blend of music and movement to create at times confusion, tension, fear, friendship and community. I loved it. The dancers do a wonderful job of communicating what I assume was a challenging concept for the choreographer. Great piece. :)

  • i saw the concert also and am very glad to have seen this video. these three 'sisters' become more interesting each time you watch them. sometimes it is a bit leggy, but then again that tends to be the nature of pointe shoes. beautiful work

  • It is great to see pointe shoes used in a way that benefits the aesthetic of the dance. I enjoyed the video very much, and the dynamics of the movement and use of space was great. I would like more delving into the extremes of the movement pace which seems to be happening just as the video fades. I look forward to seeing this piece live some day.

  • I saw this dance live and loved it, but somehow the choreography translates even better on film. I'm not much of a dance person, however I can definitely appreciate this modern spin on ballet. I also love that each dancer has her own style and the moves are constructed to be chaotically complementary when different and are executed seamlessly when in unison.

  • Captivating... wonderful interplay between the dancers.

  • This choreography is seamless. The intention is leading the movement, giving it a beautiful flow. And I appreciate the change in dimensions. Awesome! Great choreographic effort!

  • Evocative and unusual.

    A standout among these entries.

  • The contrast of the black box surrounding filled with the haunting score to the virtuosity of the dancers as they execute simple steps chained together to create complex choreography creates a feeling of harmony and conflict simultaneously. What a beautiful outcome of the difficult talk of exploring mental health through movement. Bravo!!!

  • i love how the dancers interact (the handholding mirror dances called to mind imagined elegant, graceful sisters of humpty-dumpty). I also liked the contrast: even though the surroundings and colors are stark, the dance is teeming with life.

  • Generally I see pointe shoes and I run the other way -- however I was surprised and captivated by much of the piece. I kind of wish the clip came from later on (this is part of a longer work no?) I was really interested in what was about to happen next. To echo others, I too enjoyed the fluid movements mixed in with more sharp motions. I am very interested in subtle movements and could watch your dancer extend her fingers all day! Are those costumes Amanda Waal originals?!! They were AWESOME!!!

  • AWESOME.

  • I think the movement and music compliment each other. There are many juxtaposed feelings of discord and unison. Nice work.

  • I like that each dancer has their own individual style even when movements become uniformed.

  • So captivating. Great contrast of the physically graceful yet emotionally rigid. I was sad to see it end. I wanted more. Powerful ending.

  • Beautiful. Aggresive stillness. I loved the fluidity mixed with the pops of tension. Lovely interaction.

  • Just as the inspiration for this work, being mental health, can be misunderstood and fleeting - the haunting music and original choreography are all the more moving within the context of Wordsworth's lyrical chaos. Masterful!

  • I love both the abruptness and the fluidity of this piece. It communicates a sort of desperate compassion.

  • excellent use of the dancers' extensions and lines and great use of timing!! its refreshing to see dancers move with such strength and fierceness!

  • An intriguing and imaginative work. It evokes the delicate mystery of damsel flies on a woodland pond. I love the costumes too.

The hand-slap is a violation to the other-worldliness of this magical piece.

  • i am pretty obsessed with the fourth position that the girl does in the very beginning. it is so lush and beautiful!!!!!!!!!

  • Some nice moments, and I love the costumes- but I don't understand the intention behind this piece.
