Sorry, the redundancy of "better looking" and "better looking" is just annoying me...
1. You don't spot units on the screen usually in SCBW, but you control group them.
2. Mothership is a late game unit, and since it's slow, it's easy to shot down. It's not the ultimate weapon as the carrier wasn't the ultimate weapon against everything in BW.
3. The teleport needs a very nice micro from the player to be effective. It needs the player.
i love how you complain about the lack of micro abilities when you compare a 10 unit battle in sc1 to a like 30 unit battle in sc2. and as for the new unit ideas being stolen from war of the worlds and war craft 3 well in all reality you could compare any unit to somthing seen before like the scv;s could be compared to a worker form of a mech warrior. and at time 20-22 it would be easy select all units then go to the bottom list and theres your scv

However, the comments about the lack of creativity of the units really demonstrated a lack of creativity. There has to be some kind of unit balance, or one would be OP. That's kind of obvious...

Ok i can say this as c&c fan, that despite the game bieng a little mediocre, and even blatantly copying units from various games, that the game is not bad and one thing is for sure is that the protoss are too overpowered. The game wasn't meant to be perfect and, if you don't believe me look at the shit pile named c&c 4 tiberium twilight, so its not really the worst.

1. Easily identifiable units-There wasn't much on the screen, so of course they are identifiable. In the SC2 portion, a shit load of Mech units were clustered up. Unfair comparison.
2. Well, yes sc2 graphics back then looked cartoony, but seriously? Complaining about the legs on a siege tank?
3. It's called Blink. It was in Warcraft 3, and it wasn't cheap, was it?

I have BETA too is looking good imo, but i do feel that people really shouldn't start to make statements like "i'm really disappointed" or "this game sucks", as it is gentlemen this game is barely on BETA and we have barely seen mor than 50% of the total product. This will happen every time a new games comes around, i was overwhelmingly pissed of whenn i knew warcraft was turining into an MMO but look at it now, 10+million players is not easy to get, specially with Blizz's mliking system on it.

A lot of the stuff in this video is outdated. The marine model has been changed. Colossus beam has been improved so it doesn't take up half the screen. Thor no longer has the siege ability but can fire at air. The mothership isn't a superunit and is just a replacement for the arbitor. The game looks fun and I look forward to the release. Lets hope its this summer and not fall or winter.

I have already seen a true round of SC2, and belive me, too many counters turns the game in a kind of, well, the one with more minerals wins... However, the comments about the lack of creativity of the units really demonstrated a lack of creativity. There has to be some kind of unit balance, or one would be OP. That's kind of obvious...

You also cant compare a group of 9 units with a group of +40 units even with battlecruisers, in sc1 you couldnt find a SCV if you had many units, you had to use 1, 2, 3...
This video was based on gameplays played in 2008, 2 years before the game's release, so its totally unjustified. Starcraft 2 simply rocks

Ok i can say this as c&c fan, that despite the game bieng a little mediocre, and even blatantly copying units from various games, that the game is not bad and one thing is for sure is that the protoss are too overpowered. The game wasn't meant to be perfect and, if you don't believe me look at the shit pile named c&c 4 tiberium twilight, so its not really the worst.

cant find your units in a big war?? thats why you key them to your keyboard 1 2 3 4 5 etc, the idea of the siege tank haven more support more realistic cuz if your shooting a high powered cannon it needs more support form being pushed back, the colossus cant attack air have air units colosuss will be taken out with ease, how is the teleport cheap each team gets special abilities, thor is jsut a new golith and fits well into the game its dumb to have a small unit taken down air units easily

I know this is 2 years old but I just wanna make a response to this:
1. Easily identifiable units-There wasn't much on the screen, so of course they are identifiable. In the SC2 portion, a shit load of Mech units were clustered up. Unfair comparison.
2. Well, yes sc2 graphics back then looked cartoony, but seriously? Complaining about the legs on a siege tank?
3. It's called Blink. It was in Warcraft 3, and it wasn't cheap, was it?
4.Starcraft had a counters as well.

I have BETA too is looking good imo, but i do feel that people really shouldn't start to make statements like "i'm really disappointed" or "this game sucks", as it is gentlemen this game is barely on BETA and we have barely seen mor than 50% of the total product. This will happen every time a new games comes around, i was overwhelmingly pissed of whenn i knew warcraft was turining into an MMO but look at it now, 10+million players is not easy to get, specially with Blizz's mliking system on it.

i personally prefer the sc2 graphics to sc, and as to the units looking similar, well, play more and you'll distinguish, until then, use control groups, that's what they're for. you do make good comments towards the end though, and i do agree with you in several of your concerns, but for the most part, i disagree with you. you didn't touch the zerg at all in this, which i'm disappointed in, but i understand there's not much to go on right now. great vid, though i don't really agree with you. ^.^

They took off the Cobra, and the Medic units off of Starcraft 2, also the Reaper inflicts 8 points of damage (both pistols) I was expecting hard-hitting Reapers, not weak ones

seriously... your fricking complaining about graphics? unless it makes the game unplayable or hurts your eyes, don't complain. and about units being unidentifiable, you posted very low quality footage for SC2, while you posted high quality footage of SC. and no units are designed specifically to counter a specific unit. each unit is designed to counter a type of unit, or to be a support unit. i.e. immortals are designed to counter heavy damage dealers like siege tanks or ultralisks.

A lot of the stuff in this video is outdated. The marine model has been changed. Colossus beam has been improved so it doesn't take up half the screen. Thor no longer has the siege ability but can fire at air. The mothership isn't a superunit and is just a replacement for the arbitor. The game looks fun and I look forward to the release. Lets hope its this summer and not fall or winter.

I am sorry to the fans (like me ) of this game, but I have to agree with many things said in this video... I have already seen a true round of SC2, and belive me, too many counters turns the game in a kind of, well, the one with more minerals wins... At the moment I dont want to speak about the visuals, only the game multiplayer system, that, till now, unlike SC, kind of sucks... I do hope Blizzard turns out with a much better game than this one...
