Ironically when he was talking about Canada not being in the World cup, one of the reasons why was because America was going and they were going stay behind. While the women's team is fantastic the US men haven't been taken seriously on a World stage. And for good reason. They just made the 16 back in 2002 and that was a major breakthrough for the squad. MLS is decent but only because of foreign players. I mean if we can't even call it by it's proper name, football, how can we play it well?
