@Blunty3000 this is one of the best product reviews I've seen in a long time. I had one of the first Webbie, loved it for the optical zoom, hated it for it's 20 minute or so time limit. a few years after I got the Bloggied PM5, still had a limit (24 minutes) I hope they get rid of that limitation one day
sorry, this is probably a dumb question but i just got my bloggie and im still learning about it, but does the battery get used more if its 1080 instead of the other ones? and does it take longer to upload videos on that setting then the others? please answer =)
I would use a Sony bloggie because I have a little brother and he turns 2 in november and I would use it to capture memories with the Sony bloggie I could just use a camcorder but having a Sony bloggie would be more conveint

Nice video Blunty, I really do like the HD recording nature of the Bloggies, but SONY could still do with a few tweaks before it's perfected. Because of this I imported the MHS-CM5 overseas model that has some advantaged like optical zoom and a focus that doesn't spaz out and a screen that rotates.

The reason I need one is because I would like to have a camera rather than my phone and iPod for YouTube videos If u see my page the quality of the videos are downright sad. i would like one of the Bloggie camera's because i skateboard a lot with my friends. we have a camera but unfortunately it doesn't have good focus, good white balance quality, and it doesn't have an autostabilization feature. so you can imagine how jumpy the image is on film when you're filming your friend pumping around a bowl at 25 miles an hour. well thats my reasoning for why i should recieve one of the bloggie video cameras. thanks and have a good day!

It helped me learn about myself by asking questions about values and beliefs. Since reading this book, I have wanted to provide others the opportunity to explore their own values through a youtube show in which I share my responses to as well as the communities. The only thing that is missing is a camera.

Insert kiss-ass comment about your awesomeness here. I would like to win a Bloggie because I do miniature gaming and have found it difficult to get good shots on a normal camera because of the positioning of the miniatures and terrain on the board. A Bloggie will allow me greater positioning of the camera and allow more dynamic photos to be taken. Also I have 2 children and a pocket sized camera which turns on fast would be excellent for when they do funny/silly things as children tend to do.
@Hughmanx THIS guy wins, because he's right, the table-top miniatures will look nice with the Bloggie's Macro mode (and I'm impressed a guy who's into table-top gaming HAS a wife and kids to video fun moments of!)

I want the Sony Bloggie because my only camera is a horrible 5 megapixel camera (my friends HTC Aria takes better) that I've had for over 4 years, and this will come in handy for next years Spanish class (the teacher is famous for assigning major video projects), especially since I have NO way to record video. Before I state my reason why I should get a Bloggie, I would like 2 say what splendid job u do as usual because I like the way u review products and I always look forward to ur videos. My reason why I should get 1 of these Bloggie's is because I want to be a part of youtube like u. I'm Mexican-American and my parents are so stubborn when it comes to me persuading them to buy me new "Technology" because they think it's a waste of time but I want to prove them wrong. I need one because I would love to start working on video's but my meager 5 megapixel camera is no way to be able to actually make an appropriate video of any means. That only leaves my phone and that leaves much to be desired in video. Also; I'm part of my robotics team in school, I like to build robots and my dad loves to see them, I'd like to show him them but he is unable to ever see mine in action, and I'd like him to be able to see it in glorious HD when i go to a competition in April.

Hello Blunty! I think you should give me one of the Bloggie Touch cameras. Both my digital camera and my video camera were stolen in Jan '10 and I have only a cell phone camera to take photos and videos of my baby nephew with. I think this camera would fit my needs well and it would be very well loved and used.
Never owneda handheld still/video camera of any sort, and its for that reason that i find myself so irked on many occassions where by the moment passes that i wish to capture.
I won't plead, as I am more than aware of the fact that others follow your videos far more religiously than i do, so perhaps are more deserving, what i will say though, is that this seems to be a great entry level camera for a beginner like myself, and so would suit my needs.
I need one Bloggie to help me in capturing the random, fun, great moments in my otherwise mediocre life. It would also help me finish my filmmaking project with utter ease. Also, I then would have a camera to compete with my douchebags of companions owning an iPhone 4, who -correct me if i'm wrong- have the best piece of camera installed in a mobile phone ever.

It would be nice if I had one because although I have a great interest in cinematography, I have never had a camera capable of taking clips in HD with a good frame rate. My current video camera I've had to deal with is slow to focus, has limited zoom, and gets way too much background noise. Trying to record a simple interview turns into a difficult task on my camera as it's mic has no way to change the settings. As a result I have had to borrow cameras every time I have to take a video. :(
I would like a camera to pursue my own interest in cinematography and photography, along with having another Camera to use for my schools film class. And the fact that the only camera in my house is a Canon PowerShot SD50 Digital Elph, and making stop motions on that is horrible. I'd love to receive the camera simply because my six year old camcorder is worst than my cell phone's 480p camera! My friends and I are actors and are constantly making films and writing out scripts. We've been doing this since about second grade and although we have uploaded a couple to youtube via another account, they're in terrible quality put simply, and no user wants to watch a video in blurry 360p. And really, the awkward fire-wire cord and no software makes it hard to upload it.

Well, I'm trying to get into filmmaking. I'm going to be starting on a project soon, and I would definitely like to use this. I have an iPhone 4, but would like to have a standalone video recorder as well. The 1080p would also be an added benefit.

Great review, Blunty! I'd love one of these things. I go on a lot of family trips and vacations, and filming with a digital still camera with a video mode really isn't that great. We go on lots of tours involving a lot of walking, so the smoothness of the video would be nice for that. Also, I've been thinking of doing my own electronic reviews. I've seen a lot of other people do it, and you're a pretty big inspiration for it too :) That's why I need this camera! :D
Blunty, I don't particularly need this camera, I just want it. I feel lately as if my life has spiralled into a relatively meaningless dirge to which the only saviour, aside from regular doses of your videos, would be this camera. Nice video Blunty, I really do like the HD recording nature of the Bloggies, but SONY could still do with a few tweaks before it's perfected. Because of this I imported the MHS-CM5 overseas model that has some advantaged like optical zoom and a focus that doesn't spaz out and a screen that rotates.

The reason I need one is because I would like to have a camera rather than my phone and iPod for YouTube videos If u see my page the quality of the videos are downright sad. With this camera, I can have better videos also I cannot afford any good cameras because I am only 16 and I have to pay for a 1998 Honda civic tune up for the engine which was almost completely dead

i would like one of the Bloggie camera's because i skateboard a lot with my friends. we have a camera but unfortunately it doesn't have good focus, good white balance quality, and it doesn't have an autostabilization feature. so you can imagine how jumpy the image is on film when you're filming your friend pumping around a bowl at 25 miles an hour. well thats my reasoning for why i should recieve one of the bloggie video cameras. thanks and have a good day!

It helped me learn about myself by asking questions about values and beliefs. Since reading this book, I have wanted to provide others the opportunity to explore their own values through a youtube show in which I share my responses to as well as the communities. Really nice and concise review. I'd guess I'd say I would like a Bloggie for making videos of day to day life in Europe, namely Croatia- where I'm from. But I currently live in the states and would like to perhaps show some of my mates over here in US, what it's like to live in a "vastly different place". Insert kiss-ass comment about your awesomeness here. I would like to win a Bloggie because I do miniature gaming and have found it difficult to get good shots on a normal camera because of the positioning of the miniatures and terrain on the board. A Bloggie will allow me greater positioning of the camera and allow more dynamic photos to be taken. Also I have 2 children and a pocket sized camera which turns on fast would be excellent for when they do funny/silly things as children tend to do.

I would use it to start my project Winged Hearts Productions. I will be going around on small missions and video taping it for the world to see, in july i will have a new mission to go "Free Hugs" at a curiculum fair and as a teenager this project is cool because i am starting it with a few friends and it is to help teens create themselves to get up and do something. I film a lot, but without a proper device. I use my photo-camera to do it's job.
The auto focus on it is horrible and the quality don't go any better than 720p.
It would be of good use if I won the "Bloggie Touch" in this competitions.
I would even film things in Rio if you wanted some shots here.

I want the Sony Bloggie because my only camera is a horrible 5 megapixel camera (my friends HTC Aria takes better) that I've had for over 4 years, and this will come in handy for next years Spanish class (the teacher is famous for assigning major video projects), especially since I have NO way to record video. I can work around the audio, but only if I have a way to record the video! So, in short, I need this for school, and can't afford the several hundred dollar video recorders. Thank you!

I would like to receive this camera because my current camera is an old, bulky Olympic digital camera that I've had for a good 6 or 7 years. I need one because I would love to start working on video's but my meager 5 megapixel camera is no way to be able to actually make an appropriate video of any means. That only leaves my phone and that leaves much to be desired in video. Both my digital camera and my video camera were stolen in Jan '10 and I have only a cell phone camera to take photos and videos of my baby nephew with. Never owneda handheld still/video camera of any sort, and its for that reason that i find myself so irked on many occassions where by the moment passes that i wish to capture.
I won't plead, as I am more than aware of the fact that others follow your videos far more religiously than i do, so perhaps are more deserving, what i will say though, is that this seems to be a great entry level camera for a beginner like myself, and so would suit my needs.

It would be nice if I had one because although I have a great interest in cinematography, I have never had a camera capable of taking clips in HD with a good frame rate. My current video camera I've had to deal with is slow to focus, has limited zoom, and gets way too much background noise. Trying to record a simple interview turns into a difficult task on my camera as it's mic has no way to change the settings. As a result I have had to borrow cameras every time I have to take a video. :(

It has 3.2 MP... which i think sucks, because most... sorry i mean ALL of my friends have either a HTC or a iPhone 4g to use when going on trips... Which we do.. and i can't take any Video because well... a 3.2 MP camera wont get you anywhere.. especially when your trying to jog.. its like an earthquake... I'd love to receive the camera simply because my six year old camcorder is worst than my cell phone's 480p camera! My friends and I are actors and are constantly making films and writing out scripts. We've been doing this since about second grade and although we have uploaded a couple to youtube via another account, they're in terrible quality put simply, and no user wants to watch a video in blurry 360p. I would like to have one cause for one i have no money and two one of my friends who is actualy poor like almost liveing on the streets poor has been talking about these for awhile now and how he would really like to have one so when i saw the chanse i thought i would give it a shot. I'd love a bloggie touch because I'm on an extended vacation in the US and all I have is a Canon powershot a470. It'd be nice to show the folks at home just how nice it is out here.
That and it's small size would be ideal for slipping into my sporran.

Well, I'm trying to get into filmmaking. I'm going to be starting on a project soon, and I would definitely like to use this. I have an iPhone 4, but would like to have a standalone video recorder as well. The 1080p would also be an added benefit.

Great review, Blunty! I'd love one of these things. I go on a lot of family trips and vacations, and filming with a digital still camera with a video mode really isn't that great. We go on lots of tours involving a lot of walking, so the smoothness of the video would be nice for that. Also, I've been thinking of doing my own electronic reviews. I've seen a lot of other people do it, and you're a pretty big inspiration for it too :) That's why I need this camera! :D

Blunty, I don't particularly need this camera, I just want it. I feel lately as if my life has spiralled into a relatively meaningless dirge to which the only saviour, aside from regular doses of your videos, would be this camera. I'll film something groundbreaking and push the boundaries of handheld film I promise.

My reason? I'm a student of journalism and i dont have a camera. Not even one tiny and cheap. Furthermore I dont have the money to spend on such things, I'm not so rich in an even less rich country, so I'm kinda fucked. But a toy like this would really help me, no doubts here. So, You can help a poor student of journalism (becoming a real jurnalist is my life dream!) from Poland in making his dream come true. And it would motivate me to work on my english too. Peace.
