I remember seing this on The Simpsons on tv but when I bought the dvd sets of Season 2,4and 5 I saw the 20th TV logo which told they edit it in to replace the old logo.Buying the Third season confermed this to me.

This "20th Television Fox" logo wasn't used after the third season (1991-1992).

I don't know why some episodes on the DVD sets from seasons 1 and 3 but not others have this logo, or why it isn't on the season 2 set at all.
