i wonder how the chinese could breed to get what they had drempt of in their minds. they wanted it to resemble a lion but have legs that would not let them run away from the palace. they wanted a black face etc..they new what they wanted but how on earth did they achieve it ? i am glad they did tho , i love pekes more than anything in the world.

I read that dog aren't suppose to eat apples? Because the cause of the toxins and acid from the apples could cause death?

One of my pekes love apples, bananas, broccoli, most anything except acid type like oranges....begs and won't leave you alone until he gets some!

LOL - you weren't feeding him fast enough apparently. :) My Peke loooooves tuna! And the one I had before him loved Chinese food (oddly enough, lol), and the one before him loved italian food (which was unfortunate, because he was all white too - such a nightmare with spaghetti sauce), and the one before him loved (and would only eat) what the family was eating - apparently she thought she was one of us. :) I <3 Pekes!

My Pekingnese is extremely fond of bean spouts..... and most anything that I am eating, but the bean sprouts are his very favorite.

I just bought my peke a couple months ago and i was wandering do they always gota get a shaving on there face? mine had hair growing in her face like bad so i trimmed the hair in front of her eyes. thinking about bringing her to get it cut

i'm getting a pekingese but i don't know what it looks like yet because they offered me one cuz they are giving two away so is there anything you can tell me bout them. What do most pekingese look like are they usely white or brown please tell me.

Pekes are very loyal and loving. They also have a big attitude for being a little dog. They are not always good with children. Be sure to keep up with brushing their coat each day. They love to play and be loved. If you have any specific questions feel free to email me. I have two pekes....

I love this puppy...I have my calm, gentle peke too, she is very picky with what she eats but i try and give her a balanced meal. I'll try giving her apples. She mainly goes for the slices of banana. ^_^
