  • I'm this good in tapping beer..

  • @SuperNoahZark I couldn't agree with you more!!!! You have reduced a complex, emotional issue to it's most basic form, and given a SPOT-ON, deadly-accurate analysis. GOOD on you!!!!

  • awsome!

  • This song makes me want to stand on top of a desert mountain in a banana suit, mourning for my lost brothers who died in combat in the Robotic Dragon War.

  • omg so beautyfull

  • <3

  • after watching this about 100 times i see where you are going with this. It's gonna take some practice but it makes sense...using the arpeggios alternative with 5ths and octaves. Thanks.

  • i love how the highest rated comment is so meaningful, and then the second one is completely pointless.

  • @TACOCHEESESAUCE

thanks to this comment I can't see the meaningful comment!

    Only the immature one!!

  • When your good your good.

  • absolutely amazing!!

  • What the heck!? What gear are you using? Your tone is real good, and there's no buzz to be heard in your playin'. That's some smooth tapping.

  • I was looking at your fingers 2 days straight until I learned it (y) Master men.

  • @14Gaia14 easier wai is to download the vid, put it in sony vegas and you can either repeat the part your want much easier or slow down the vid; i tabbed and justice for all in few hours with 99% accuracy. U jelly?

  • now thats some beautiful bass playing! ur a boss bro

  • fukkin brilliant

  • How far are your strings from you fretboard because on my precision (a hard bass to do tapping on btw) my strings are close enough, but when i tap the 15. Fret fx it sounds awful and there is a lot of fretbuzz :(

  • Very Nice!!

  • nice work man, thats some really clean tapping

  • Amazing. Good job!

  • if you could, could you write out a tab for this? i would amazingly appreciate it. i have a hard time following along and trying to figure it out by watching

  • Killer sound man, nice technical skills! And all you lazy bass players that are always asking for tabs learn to read music or learn to pick out the notes by ear or just watch the video and write out the notes he was nice enough to slow it down for us!!!

  • Hey, is there any tabs somewhere for this ?

  • very good sound

  • is it a bongo your playing on?

  • This chord progression pisses me off.

  • Wow, you're awesome and this really cool thing to play

  • This also reminds me of animusic!

  • I'm not familiar with bass guitar, but can you play this on a electric guitar?

    is it a different tuning?

  • @StealthArt You probably could, but it wouldn't sound the same at all. The bass has a very different tone from the guitar.

  • Comment removed

  • Aw man. 24 frets. I have to play it an octave down

  • just amazing

  • THIS IS SO EARGASMIC!

  • Amazing! Too bad YouTube doesn't have a "repeat" option.

  • have you ever listened to braindrill or viraemia?, haha.. nice vid :)

  • nice

  • fiero that is the most amazing sound I've ever heard come out of a bass. btw how do get all your notes so clear? Do you just have fingers of steel, your pickups are amazing, your volume is cranked, or hacks :S Cause when I do this the 3rd part doesn't pick up very well. tldr: You are amazing ;)

  • Are You Chuck Norris?

  • I'm in love with this video :]

  • I like this

  • I just learned to play this. It's going to take a while to master, but you really don't need tabs for this.

  • did this come from a song?

and if it did, can you tell me the name of it please.

  • nice playing but surely too mainstream chord progression?

  • Sounds Great

  • Pure Perfection... Keep It Up!!!!!!

  • The bass has it's own set of techniques just as guitar has it's own. I think the bass is more like a piano then any other instrument. With that being said to those students that said they wished they played guitar- i would have said then you should be playing guitar!!! Why bother picking up the bass if they want to play guitar??

  • The biggest thing people need to realize that a bass and guitar are two complete different instruments at this point both instruments are considered solo instruments. Bass is indeed underrated.. but with people like jaco, victor wooten, marcus miller, you can really see how far the instrument has come. The bass is an amazing instrument!!! Both solo and not. We must remember that guitar and bass are extremely different instruments. Just as drums are nothing like a xylophone.

  • I'd say the difference between a xylophone and drums is way bigger than the difference between a guitar and a bass GUITAR. The only difference minor difference is how you play it and which notes are used. I play guitar, and i'm not at all saying i can play a bass greatly, but the difference really isn't as big as you're trying to make it.

  • @varulv234 thats only because the xylophone is not just a percusion instument. learning the bass is no easier after you learn guitar than if you were to learn piano first(then bass). you learn scales from piano. the only advantage in learning guitar then bass is that youll know what to call the frets and strings. the spacing on the kneck and thickness of it is way different...

  • @xandshescreamedi What about an 8 String guitar.? 6 Guitar strings 2 bass strings. What would that fall under.?

  • @YadiCruzado 8 string guitars with two bass strings arent too common. its usually an extra high and low string

  • i like this video because it shows how beautiful the bass can sound. i play bass and realize that it is often underestimated. ive given a few bass lessons and the people i taught said they wish they would have played guitar instead of bass. kind of disappoints me that they dont realize what you can make the bass sound like

  • nice...sounds like technical but mellow..rok on dud !!!!

  • holy shit that sounds really good

  • really awesome

  • respect

  • sounds so mellow

  • Nice done mann!

  • that was really cool. nice view of the fret board. i don't know if your into crazy shit but the bass playing on the new psyopus album may be the best i've ever heard. check it out

  • tabs??

  • just watch the video. it shows you how to play it.

  • ok now i want try this..u rock

  • killer techs u rock ...much props

  • want to send me the tab for that? :D

  • sounds amazing. great work. how would you go about writing something like that?

  • that's cool man.

  • hold up

uis ur last string a C?

  • nope, he's got a regular ol' 5 string.

  • STOLEN

    In my new song ...

    LOL jokes

    this is really good

    simple too

  • That was beautiful T_T

  • Very nice tone, was expecting just another 'shredding' vid :)

  • ima buy a bass just to learn that ...it sounds awsome

  • that is awesome. i am trying to learn this tapping technique. u got any helpful tips?

  • Were can i get the tabs for this? lol

  • i love the sound my friend it was beautiful

  • I've never played a bass but i have played a guitar. Infact i do have a guitar, and im thining about playing bass should I? Because bass actually looks fun.

  • play both. guitar is epic, and bass too, bass solos like this or like like orion are just beautiful.

  • that was so effortless... simply beautiful

  • Have you ever heard anything by Ludovico Einaudi? He's a pianist w/ a similar quality in his playing, specifically in a song called "Nuvole Bianche" check him out if you haven't heard him

  • of course I know him, I am italian too! Nuvole bianche, white clouds, I will listen to it. Thanks for the comment.

  • @fierobraccio sounds like sonw to me:D

  • @jaybird385 oh my god. i love you dude. i heard this and liked it, saw your comment, found a whole new genre to help inspire my music. thank you so much

  • hey if anyone transcribed this please send it to me

  • After watching your vids, I get the impression that you enjoy tapping... :P

How long have you been playing? Do you need to be big on theory to make this sort of music?

Keep up the good work, man.

  • Damn!!! You make it look so easy!

  • I Transposed it to guitar pro of anyone wants it

  • i want it please

  • wow that was beautiful

  • tabs please...btw im playing guitar but i also have abass ==P

  • love the quick hammering of the notes at 0:11 , really gives the piece an uplifting happy feel :P :P i suck at music but thts jus what i feel bout tht

  • :O i fall in love with this tappin can i take it for a song? jaja :D

  • hey, that's pretty cool !!! Wish I could tap like that ...

  • also, some people have a hard time when their bass guitar is a completely different tone as the one their trying to use to tab out something that's another thing.

  • tabbing something out by ear can be done by almost anyone who's been playing for like a year but it takes a long time if your a noob, a very very long time.

  • didn't really explain anything but that was beautiful I almost cried listening to it, and you slowed it down so that we can look and learn it for ourselves, thanks.

  • What are the chords that he arpeggios over? Like not the notes but the chord shapes. I hear the Bminor but thats it

  • the chords are B, G and A

  • do u have to have a 5 string bass

  • do u have to have a 5 string bass

  • u dont need a 5 string to play it because he dosnt use his low string

  • Quit asking for tabs you have to learn how to develope an ear for music. reading tabs are like cheating.

  • Learning by ear is a skill that should be developed, just like reading music (Which includes both staves and tabs). Music is an art, not a sport, so theres no such thing as cheating

  • you really can get it off the video, don't need tabs... good work! lots of fun to play

    : ) thanks!

  • Holy shit this is awesome. Quick question though, what chords is he arpeggiating on? I get the first minor one, but after that I am totally lost.

  • cavolo, bello proprio, credo che lo imparerò per usarlo come esercizio.

    Grande ;)

  • i demand tabs!

  • if you have EARS and eyes you can do this very easy without tabs

  • Not everyone can learn like that, smart-ass...

  • You can if you practice. You can do or play anything if you practice.

  • hey what are the tabs for that?

  • Watch the video, theres a reason he plays it slow.

  • reminds me alot of Snow hey oh by The Red Hot Chili Peppers, anyway, awsome :D !

  • could you post the tabs

  • that's awesome D:

  • thats fucking insane!!!!! i gotta learn how to do that kind of stuff

  • thats sweet ..kinda reminds me of a chili peppers song i once heard

    .. great job

  • "snow hey oh"

  • sick yo. I need to start playing again.
