@SuperNoahZark I couldn't agree with you more!!!! You have reduced a complex, emotional issue to it's most basic form, and given a SPOT-ON, deadly-accurate analysis. GOOD on you!!!!
This song makes me want to stand on top of a desert mountain in a banana suit, mourning for my lost brothers who died in combat in the Robotic Dragon War.
after watching this about 100 times i see where you are going with this. It's gonna take some practice but it makes sense...using the arpeggios alternative with 5ths and octaves. Thanks.
@14Gaia14 easier wai is to download the vid, put it in sony vegas and you can either repeat the part your want much easier or slow down the vid; i tabbed and justice for all in few hours with 99% accuracy. U jelly?
i have really tryed to learn it by watching and by ear. can you please tab it for me because the melody is beutiful and i would really like to learn it. thanks! :-D
How far are your strings from you fretboard because on my precision (a hard bass to do tapping on btw) my strings are close enough, but when i tap the 15. Fret fx it sounds awful and there is a lot of fretbuzz :(
if you could, could you write out a tab for this? i would amazingly appreciate it. i have a hard time following along and trying to figure it out by watching
Nice playing! All u bass players that are always asking for tabs please learn to read or play by ear or simply open your eyes he is nice enough to play it slow for us!
Killer sound man, nice technical skills! And all you lazy bass players that are always asking for tabs learn to read music or learn to pick out the notes by ear or just watch the video and write out the notes he was nice enough to slow it down for us!!!
fiero that is the most amazing sound I've ever heard come out of a bass. btw how do get all your notes so clear? Do you just have fingers of steel, your pickups are amazing, your volume is cranked, or hacks :S Cause when I do this the 3rd part doesn't pick up very well. tldr: You are amazing ;)
The bass has it's own set of techniques just as guitar has it's own. I think the bass is more like a piano then any other instrument. With that being said to those students that said they wished they played guitar- i would have said then you should be playing guitar!!! Why bother picking up the bass if they want to play guitar??
The biggest thing people need to realize that a bass and guitar are two complete different instruments at this point both instruments are considered solo instruments. Bass is indeed underrated.. but with people like jaco, victor wooten, marcus miller, you can really see how far the instrument has come. The bass is an amazing instrument!!! Both solo and not. We must remember that guitar and bass are extremely different instruments. Just as drums are nothing like a xylophone.
I'd say the difference between a xylophone and drums is way bigger than the difference between a guitar and a bass GUITAR. The only difference minor difference is how you play it and which notes are used. I play guitar, and i'm not at all saying i can play a bass greatly, but the difference really isn't as big as you're trying to make it.
@varulv234 thats only because the xylophone is not just a percusion instument. learning the bass is no easier after you learn guitar than if you were to learn piano first(then bass). you learn scales from piano. the only advantage in learning guitar then bass is that youll know what to call the frets and strings. the spacing on the kneck and thickness of it is way different...
i like this video because it shows how beautiful the bass can sound. i play bass and realize that it is often underestimated. ive given a few bass lessons and the people i taught said they wish they would have played guitar instead of bass. kind of disappoints me that they dont realize what you can make the bass sound like
that was really cool. nice view of the fret board. i don't know if your into crazy shit but the bass playing on the new psyopus album may be the best i've ever heard. check it out
I've never played a bass but i have played a guitar. Infact i do have a guitar, and im thining about playing bass should I? Because bass actually looks fun.
Have you ever heard anything by Ludovico Einaudi? He's a pianist w/ a similar quality in his playing, specifically in a song called "Nuvole Bianche" check him out if you haven't heard him
@jaybird385 oh my god. i love you dude. i heard this and liked it, saw your comment, found a whole new genre to help inspire my music. thank you so much
love the quick hammering of the notes at 0:11 , really gives the piece an uplifting happy feel :P :P i suck at music but thts jus what i feel bout tht
also, some people have a hard time when their bass guitar is a completely different tone as the one their trying to use to tab out something that's another thing.
tabbing something out by ear can be done by almost anyone who's been playing for like a year but it takes a long time if your a noob, a very very long time.
didn't really explain anything but that was beautiful I almost cried listening to it, and you slowed it down so that we can look and learn it for ourselves, thanks.
