  • in series 4 can you add a part in every vid that has the locos pulling their load please

  • @hornbymanzpc I'll look into it but I need to keep the videos as short as poss.

  • I have that ha

  • @intercity82 I have an intercity 125 set it's very quick and very detailed you should try/buy it out

  • I really love the intercity livery. My first ever train set (a battery powered N gauge set) came with an Intercity Swallow Class 43 125. It's such a shame I model sixties western region. Still, maybe if I join the model railway club in Ayr they'll let me run on an eighties layout with Capris & Sierras in the car parks & the sound of Human league echoing through the streets

  • @Hancockified - haha! Well why not start plans for a 2nd layout based on 1988? :P A year packed full of Sieras, Capris and the Human League - with some Bananarama thrown in for good measure. lol

  • Would a Virgin Trains Class 47 use Intercity coaches?

    P.S. great video :)

  • @MrMicroSCT - For a while in the 90s there was some overlap - so yeah that would be fine :)

  • Hey will would you be able to show us your whole collection of locos and rolling stock !

you can just talk through the whole video for about 20minutes

that would be a great video iam sure many people will agree !

  • @avaitionnerd111 - the upcoming IC82 website essentially does that for me with its huge online database of everything I have :)

  • I must have watched this video 1/2 dozen times. Such a great looking locomotive and livery. I just ordered one (my first DCC ready loco) & some MK1 coaches to go with, can't wait to receive them. Next I think will be the Bachmann Class 08 and the Class 150 regional railways/sprinter and a Class 411. I think the bug has bitten :)

    Thanks !!

  • @thebritfarmer - haha lol I pass on my apologies to your bank card provider.

  • @InterCity82 It's not them I am worried about LOL :)

  • @InterCity82

Well it arrived today along with the coaches. Runs like a dream !!! Thanks for the recommendation, she is really smart. Know to watch some more of your videos to see what to buy next :) Perhaps a Regional 37 and some coaches.

  • @thebritfarmer - haha nice one! :) Happy to hear the good news?!

  • I've bought it and its great apart from one quite annoying thing. Well two really. 1 the body shell doesnt want to clip on properly and often comes off the chassis when i try to pick it up. 2 the little slot i put the coupler into has fallen off. :(

  • Sorry to keep asking but is it dcc ready/fitted?

  • @fulf1 - it's DCC ready

  • @InterCity82 EPIC! Ima buy it right now from ehattons

  • 2 things, is she dcc ready/fitted? and do you know where I can get some of those coaches? Bachmann make different coaches for the 2011 range and I don't like them as they are a slightly older livery I think.

  • @fulf1 - I got the coaches over a year ago from Hattons in Liverpool. All I can recommend is you look around online as well as maybe call up different model shops. With a bit of favourable probability, you should find some somewhere. :)

  • I've heard that ViTrains don't oil there trains, or at least not do a very good job of it.

Started to here loud noises from my 37 from them, must have to oil it.

Have you had this problem Will?

  • @itgamer100 - curious - I've not have any problems with any of my ViTrains models. Hmmmm

  • Can u still get the coaches that u have

  • @Liverpoolfcfever - possibly, if you look around.

  • ive got a bachmann 47 and a vi train class 47 and the vi trains class 47 does give the bachmann 47 a run for its money

  • A loco

  • @Liverpoolfcfever - I won't be selling locos - at least not initially.

  • What will the postage be

  • @Liverpoolfcfever - it depends what's being sent.

  • On your website will u ship to Australia Melbourne

  • @Liverpoolfcfever - yes - international shipping will be available.

  • for those that want to get your hands on this frantastic model it is £52 on ehattons(dot)com

  • i thought you had enought locos and trains eg the ones on the track and the ones by the pendo but it looks like you have loads on a rack where you got the coaches

  • @gtacrusher123 - yes, there's also loads in Crewe Works and some stored in boxes, unopened.

  • @InterCity82 i wonder how many locos you have altogether maybe you should have a tally

  • @gtacrusher123 - one is already being made in preparation for the new website you see - it'll have a database on it where you can check out everything I have.

  • @InterCity82 i cant wait till i see your website

  • @gtacrusher123 - thanks :) it'll have a shop on it too!

  • @InterCity82 selling stuff or givving the best price on stuff

  • @gtacrusher123 - selling model railway essentials

  • @InterCity82 ok

  • @InterCity82 a website!?

  • i have the res 47 from vitrains and thequality of it is superb and the motor is very quiet and slow speed is exelent even on dirty track. i am told how ever by the bloke from ehattons.com that it runs louder if on analoge and not dcc

  • @mrgrahamhearn - that's a myth and incorrect. Sometimes, the DCC chip can actually make a motor buzz and hum more than it would if it was DC. But then sometimes they don't buzz and hum much at all. Every motor and chip is slightly different.

  • @InterCity82 ah something new learned every day

  • The noise willwaler6 could hear was the sound of the vitrains motor. There is no doubt about the quality of the vitrains 47 but two things still bug me about them. Firstly, the motor noise is very inconsistent on all vitrains models. I own 3 and all have various levels of noise. I have to 37's - one of which is very quiet, the other of which is incredibly noisy. My 47 sits somewhere between the two. The other problem is the cab ends which are still the wrong colour. Super model though.

  • Righteo it was just cause I heard a sound that sounded like my trains when there's a wheel sticking out

  • Is it me or the train wasn't on the track properly

  • @williwaler6 - it's you.

  • She is an absolute BEAUTY!

  • I agree it's such a great model, I just got it in Br large logo, see channel, and was wondering what glue you would recomend for the accessories? thanks

  • @scotrail47 - I recommend Tacky Wax actually. It's kinda like a modelling blu-tack, but not blue. You only need a tiny bit on the end of a pin and it does the job. If you wish to use glue, normal precision poly cement will do the job - apply very carefully tho!

  • Great vid! Has she quieted down by now? I've been meaning to ask you about that blue "stuff" that holds the track down. What is it exactly?

    Cheers from Peter

  • @clusterfak - after a service she is a bit quieter. The blue stuff is blu-tack and it keeps the track of this temporary layout in place on the slippery laminate floor.

  • Really nice locomotive!

  • @tpe18509 - thanks! :)

  • Wow cool

  • I like longer videos

  • what model trains company do you like hornby, bachmann or Vtrains?

  • @MegaTrainfreak - yes all of those plus Heljan

  • Where did you get her from?

  • @mike96dundee - You can get her from Hattons

  • Iv'e been collecting for along time, however i never thought of buying it. but now iv'e ordered this model. and now it is here with me. but i listened to you.. and i am not Dissapointed cheers mate =)

  • @Hornby96 - lol, ace! :)

  • How can you affored all of that??

  • @harrops3 - no booze. no fags lol

  • @InterCity82 lol :)

  • Where do you get the coupling tool from?

  • @110samec - coupling is easy, but to easily place a locomotive or coach onto the track I use a tool called a 'railer' or 'puteronna'. To uncouple them I use a paperclip or bent wooden lollipop stick.

  • beautiful sounds :)

  • @DelticFilms - ahh yes :) very

  • i have to say i under-estimated the vitrains class 47, i will have to invest in one now lol!

  • @branchlinedisaster - you will NOT be dissapointed :)

  • I'm looking forward on getting one, I might get that one or the virgin one. And I like the class 47 :)

  • aahah "i have a little tool"

sorry ,nice vid im thinking of buying the virgin trains version :)

  • @DyylanC - lol, you won't be dissapointed! They're excellent models!

  • What a Fantastic sound when she passes close to the Camera....Great Vid ;)

  • @dilwich123 - yes, totally :)

  • Just orderd my first Vi trains Class 47 thanks to your video :) Its in Virgin Trains livery and is called Pride Of Toton :) Thanks for a great review :)

  • @ApacheBravo - oh nice!!!! I like that one too :D

  • @InterCity82 Yeh it looks really good, a very detailed model. I was a bit unhappy about the paint on the chassie of the model though as it was flakey and easily came off :( Ive had so many problems trying to get it to run since puting a DCC chip in it. It just runs for a few inches and them comes to a halt. Its very stuttery. Maby it needs running in some how? Its not the track as all my other locos run fine. Do you have any ideas how to solve my problem??? Cheers any help is much appriciated :)

  • how many coaches can it pull tip heavely weather her and her coaches

  • @randomkid21000 - I haven't found its limit yet - but it can easily handle in excess of 10 full size coaches.

  • i bought a couple of intercity mk1s there amazingly detailed especially once ive put people in them im going to buy some R.E.S mk1s

  • finally found the space to start my railway a passion of mine and im buying the city industrial set 49.99 bargain! brilliant videos too any tips for building a railway and making it bigger. im looking a scienic layout..

  • @tydymunky - I am building a proper layout too! Videos on that are coming up soon! :)

  • @tydymunky - loads of tip videos are coming up! :) including plans for the proper layouts

  • Blow them, and they do spin!

  • I orderd a vi trains class 47 today and after seeing this i am more excited it runs great and really looks the part with those intercity coaches

  • @Radomboy1234 - thanks for the comment! :)

  • Lol you just love them sprung buffers!, Dont blame you, i might get this after i get a vitrains class 37. If i get the 47 and 37 will i be able to couple them both up to each other or do i need dcc? Brilliant vid! AGAIN!

  • @Calum643 - thanks for the comments! Erm, to couple locos together, and form a consist (2 locos working together), yeah you need DCC really. IT might work with DC but you won't be controlling the locos - just the power in the track they run on.

  • Please try and get the class 43 HST in Intercity Swallow livery (Thats the whole name of the livery) Very Nice loco I also like the British Rail Intercity Liveries.

  • @BRIntercity - already got it :) video is in a queue tho

  • where did you get the tool from

  • @somerandomalex - the 'railer' or 'puterona'? They can be found in most good model shops.

  • What chip would you use because this is a V Train? I have a Hornby controller so would it be best using a Hornby decoder if I buy a V Train?

    Cheers.

    Dave.

  • @CoronationClass - all DCC stuff is compatible with each other. You can have a Hornby DCC chip in a Vi-Trains loco controlled by a Bachmann DCC controller and it will all work. :)

  • @InterCity82 Oh right, because I have just got a new DCC controller 2nd hand of eBay by Hornby and I am currently running Bachmann locos and one keeps going of when it wants and the ES doesn't even stop it, but they have bachmann decoders also I can not program them as 01 or 02 03 upwards is fine, Think I will put in Hornby decoders see if that helps.

Thanks for getting back to me.

  • i am getting this loco, can you do a viedo of it in the dark so i can see the light please

  • @itgamer100 - yup, certainly! A video featuring this loco in the dark has already been done actually, but hasn't been uploaded yet.

  • really 4 and a half billion are you joking

  • @ExploreHornby32 - well, of course it's an exaggeration but there are an awful lot - something like 200 - when the average number is about 7 or 8.

  • more good 47s from vi trains n more good bachmann coaches

  • @helloimearl1 - yup and yup! :)

  • does it come with two cluplings

  • @1998olie - yes

  • Great vid

  • @navmantogo - thank u :)

  • damn, InterCity82! how do you afford all these new sets and packs lol?

  • @brwnandfriendly - lol, oh well I treated myself to this one - you have to treat yaself every now and then don't ya

  • A awsome classic nice one!

  • @freid001 - cheers :)

  • @HSTCalvin - cheers fella! Yeah she's alrite isn't she

  • i love the intercity livery ,nice vids hoping to get hold of a good camrea to start filming

  • @itgamer100 - excellent!

  • whats the name of your tool for putting rollingstock on the track

  • @timandtheclass25 - it's called a 'railer' or 'puterona' and you can get them from most model railway places

  • whats that tool called that you use to put the carriages on to the track

  • @tomhelm1995 - hey Tom, it's called a 'railer' or 'puterona'

  • @InterCity82 lol briliant thanks 4 that

  • 47844 is made by Hornby as well in Virgin Trains Livery but no way is it good as this one

  • @Class59Cameron - ahhh right! Thanks for letting me know - how old is the Hornby model?

  • @InterCity82 3 years old, it's terrible to be honest

  • the motor will quiet down with running in 30mins in each direction and mine is as smooth as my babies ?

  • @olliemetro - lol - well you the class 47 man would know! lol

  • @InterCity82 LOL

  • looks like so much fun ! i really enjoy watching you vids will : ) 5****

  • @SaturdaysFan4Life - lol, thanks Steven :D

  • 5***S looks really nice

  • @jaannetts16 - thanks Jaike! Yeah she's not bad at all

  • u should make a video and see whic one of ur engines is most powerful? :)

  • @trainlover658 - already ahead of ya! There's some pretty impressive pulling power videos on their way! (filmed them already, some are still on the camcorder, some are waiting to be encoded and some are just waiting to be uploaded) (but there's a queue! lol)

  • @InterCity82 may i make a sudgestion on what the next eddition to the fleet?

  • @trainlover658 - yeah please do

  • @InterCity82 perhaps an LMS ivatt class 2-6-2T? i've got one myself, she's about 15 years old, but its as reliable as the day she was built, bachmann now do them, i sudgest you get one if ya can, they're good pullers of both trucks and passengers

  • @trainlover658 - if you see one anywhere let me know! :)

  • @InterCity82 best place i can think of is ebay, either that or your local train shop, i recomend ebay, cause you can get one cheaper, cause if you get one brand new, its pretty expensive

  • Great stuff Will... im thinking of doing Rolling Stock reviews, so mk3s, mk1, seacows, PNA wagons etc...

  • @Javelin395 - yeah that would be excellent! I don't do rolling stock (as you can tell) (just locos and sets) so if you could do the things they pull that would be ace!! :)

  • @InterCity82 I will start it tonight...

  • Awesome video mate

  • @theLEGOcommander1 - thanks David!

  • i noticed it doesnt have back or front couplings

  • @Whizzer1 - they were extra and had to be put on separately

  • great vid i have a heljan virgin 57

  • @freightliner86501 - thanks! is your Heljan 57 in Freighliner?

  • will all your locos be dcc

  • @YTisawsum - eventually... yes
