  • I love this video. Are there any more of these? French is a beautiful language. I have French blood in me, but Spanish was the dominent culture and language. I do not know any thing about the language or culture. This is very nice. :)

  • @TheAlinaLopez Why do you talk about French language? If you thought this cartoon was in French - you were mistaken.

It's Soviet one and it's in Russian.

  • Nice job YouTube, slapping a @#$!! beer ad on this.

  • the cartoon is by Layla abdelrahim , my name is layla too :)) i wish you success :)

  • original name of this "Паровозик из Ромашково" (Parovozik iz Romashkovo)

  • I wonder if any1 could link to an unsubbed version, i know it exists here on youtube. I just dont know the name of the vid or this cartoons original name. The subs is obstructing alot of the animation, thats why ; )

  • SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH IT'S WONDERFUL

  • That was really wonderful. Thank you

  • I think that would make Thomas industrialised, not domesticated

  • What language is this??????????????????????????

  • @blueluvr7 Russian

  • What a delightful cartoon. Bluemango123 is right, the message in it is lovely. We really should take time to enjoy the little things in life.

  • Great video... would love to see a board book based on this - does anyone know if it exists outside the US already?

  • love this.

  • my nepheww lovess thiss(:

  • My family has slipped through my weak and flimsy fingertips forever

I dont belong in this suffocated box of lost memories any longer

The gentle consistency of fresh snow only empowers and captures my thought into every icicle

    I must escape

I must escape and leave my past memories in the treads I make in the fresh snow behind me

    ( poetry on a photograph)

  • this tripped me out. good cartoon though, i like the message. don't get the Zerzan Thomas the tank engine reference though.

  • @pazomblez I think it refers to the fact that Thomas the Tank Engine is representative of a domesticated, civilized mindset - being "useful" and productive, always under obedience to authority, etc., all of which Zerzan is against.

  • @worldofsimulacra

hm makes sense, thanks for filling me in.

  • Me encantan estas caricaturas, que hermosas eran. Dejaban algo bueno en la inocencia de los niños que las veian.

  • This really was great. Cartoons like this have truly gone away.

  • Hvala ljiepa, od Danice i Vanese

  • Could someone please sign down the Original title

  • Beautiful, nothing short. Words fail to describe. Strong message in a light-hearted, simple, short cartoon. To say it's childish is an insult. Masterpiece.

  • I really love the message in this cartoon. Take time to see the little things in life, otherwise you'll just speed right on by them.

  • Fantastic animation. I suppose it's all about not having what we want, but wanting what we have. Nice.

  • I see a lot of "Tootle" in this short film.

  • A Russian friend For casey jr. i think.

  • At first glance, I thought this was kinda stupid, (seeing a stem locomotive acting like a rabbit was a bit...um....) But this film really does mean something. Its Very Powerful.

  • birch trees rock. this video's really, really great.

  • i love this

    thank you for the translation

i see anti-civilization themes in a lot of children's stories and fables and sacred texts and poetry--it's all around us, the artists warning us and reminding us of who we are

this reminds me of the children's story 'ferdinand' by munro leaf--if you haven't seen it, it's worth checking out

  • this is russian isnt it

  • Yes. Russian. well actually Soviet, since it was done back then :)

I grew up with those cartoons and those songs!

Too bad right now our Russian film and cartoon industry are so intoxicated with all that holywood ideas of making business out of art and all that " RATUNG" competition nonsence... Very sad. Very.

  • thank you for translating. So many treasures escape us because we do not speak the language...
