The Piraka, who are Skakdi that used to be Dark Hunters, were also after the mask of life because Makuta Teridax told them where it was and that they must get it for some reason.

Let me start off by saying I love the series and Cameron. But lets not assume she was sent by John Connor. I and some of me friends believe that she may have been sent by the machines.

In S04E02 we find that Cameron is not all what she appears. The machines know that John Connor loved a Allison and started replicating her to seduce John Connor by making Cameron.

They sent Cameron back to develop a long time friendship with John that last 20 or 30 years into the future.

Perhaps just as he monitors other computers and apparently is capable of penetrating fire walls, JH is being monitored by another supercomputer (think NSA 10 times over what you think its able to do), one that has a much greater computing capacity but lacks JHs curiosity and creativity. When John has his AHA! moment, the NaSAty supercomputer becomes confused by the input its receiving, downloads everything in JHs memory banks and becomes aware.

I think the writers were inspired by the novel Neuromancer. Its about 2 powerful AI merging together. I`ve been thinking that Skynet is not 1 A.I but the sum of several AIs combined. That John Henry indentified it as a brother AI and that it has been looking for him for a long time hints that it might be a incomplete Skynet from the future. A referrence to T3 where an incomplete skynet is actually already here in the present as world wide computer virus waiting for its "body" to go online

John tells Sarah about Jesse. Sarah sends Cameron and Reese away, tells John she doesnt trust Reese because he didnt tell mention Jesse, will let Cameron deal with him. Sarahs plan is to have Reese terminate Cameron. Sarah is the betrayer. If Reese has the detonator, he tries using it but it doesnt work because he has to punch the buttons in the proper sequence. Cameron abandons John, but stays nearby knowing that Reese and Sarah are trying to end her.

That would be stupid if she ditched John. If anything John should ditch them and go with her.

I'm sick of the whole abandoning Cameron thing. Her character should be the pivoting point of the series, and while it's nice to see some different takes on her role, she's already been ostracized for the entire series.

It'd be nice to see them start trusting Cameron a bit more instead of constant schemes that risk getting her killed, since Sarah sucks at protecting John to begin with.
