Damn, a Chinook and an Army crew could have had that HMMWV in the air in less than half that time. Nothing against the Marines, but I think the V-22 is a giant piece of crap.

@nightsta1ker1 The chinook is garbage.. thats why they phased it out of the Marine Corps. The Osprey is the fastest rotary wing aircraft, it can transport the hmmvw or whatever it has slung in half the time itd take a chinook or super stallion.

@loofacop I have news for you. The Marines have never had a Chinook. They had the Sea Knight. When you get your facts right then you can talk trash.
One thing about the Marine Corps is they are good at making the best of what they have. I am sure they will make the most of the V-22. But I still think the aircraft is a piece of garbage. If it was really better than the Chinook then the ONLY operators of the Chinook (the Army) would be replacing them with 22s instead of buying more.

@nightsta1ker1 I still think the basic V-22 concept's the way forward though. Who knows, if they work all the bugs out of it and get the cost down, it might even end up making money...eventually.

i cant believe i missed out on the osprey. i RIDTed that drill. did the walk around on that friday though, before i left.
