Theres something about the physical feel of a controller in your hand, rumble feedback, and the like. Also, you can't really do shooters with your fists and no triggers.

The natal looks cook, but is more suited for casual gamers.

1:1. The Wiimote + MotionPlus can't achieve 1:1 because the tech they use. Also, it full of lag because of their implementation, and it also needs to be recalibrated every 10 minutes. This is true 1:1 with no-lag.

That's why their sword demo is way beyond anything you see on the Wii.

Well, when I play swords on Resorts I have to recalibrate it constantly.

And no, boy, it can't do 1:1. Why? Originally, the Wiimote could only detect straight lines on the X,Y,Z. I couldn't detect angles. What motion plus did was adding a gyroscope, which lets the Wiimote detects angles. But no true 1:1. One of the main reason is because the Wii does not know where you are in a true 3D space (reality), the Wiimote, no matter how many addons extra it gets, can't never do 1:1.

Nintendo doesn't just do "great stuff" they make the best games available. The only reason to own a Wii it's because of Nintendo (I've had every single home console made by Nintendo). Zelda are enough reason alone, Mario Galaxy and Smash Bros are great too, and Metroid is sooo great.

I think Microsoft used too much flash and not enough substance. They tried to impress people with their talking boy, even though he had nothing to do with their motion control. Cameras have been able to do that for years. Sony's lack of a big prepared trailer shows that they will continue to improve their design.

PlayStation's design has more hardcore implications than Natal. Imagine a GTA-type game with that control, or a ninja Gaiden, etc.

Also, the PS3 demo was an actual demo. A live demonstration of what the project can do, whereas Microsoft's Project Natal was just a video. I'm not saying that I doubt its validity, but there's a chance that it's not as they make it out to be.

I think Natal will become more of a novelty, or just a menu scrolling device. Hardcore shooters for instance won't work well with that control. Microsoft might make up some clever way to play shooters with Natal, but it likely won't have a fast enough response like most fps players want.

Sony should split a Sixaxis controller in half and put a track ball on each half. That way, you get classic control when the halves are together, and dual motion control when they're apart.
