  • wonderful performance Steven, congratulations!

  • Excellent. I must say Steve, you don't look at all 'rigid' in your technique, which lends the music a great 'organic' feel, if that makes sense. Anyway, keep the uploads coming!

  • @biggsy182 Thanks Ron. I replied to this one last week, but it seems YT has decided do one of it's magic disappearing tricks. This was always one of my favourite Sor studies, and I reckon that helps with the "organic" feel. Glad you like it. Bring your guitar over to my place next time you're in town, and we can jam.

  • Oh, it is a great Fernando's study. I like it. Beautiful.. You play it very well Steve.

    Regards,

    Glenn

  • @GlennValt Thanks Glenn. This is probably still my fastest moving upload, so the most popular. It is one that I can play well. Steve.

  • hello friend..i love that music...sounds so sweet..

  • @mchrose Thanks. I think my camera has a problem. There is a pink tinge in the left side of the video.

  • very sweet music..love it...

  • i heard randy rhoads used a riff from this piece, or one of the other estudios

  • @0kill13 Yeah. It's funny how some classical bits are incorporated into other genres. Another bloke comment on another of my uploads which he said had been played by a heavy metal band. I guess as long as it works, then do it. One good thing about using the classicals is that there is no problems with copyright infringements, as the composers died more than a century ago. Thanks for the comment.

  • Very nice, it sounds wonderful !

    Barbara

  • @babs7965 Hi Barbara. Thanks for the nice comment. I've been a bit slack with the uploads lately, but i'll try to do a few more soon. Steve.

  • Nicely played! Also like the piece a lot, I'll have to try this one.

  • @Saulzar thanks Oliver. Steve.

  • Very nice Steve. The melody is very clear and well balanced with the accompaniment. Good to see a new video from you.

    - Ben

  • @bdclassicalguitarist Hi Ben. I've have worked on this one a lot lately, developing the dynamics and strengthening the treble. I haven't seen any from you lately. I'm guessing that you're working on another Tarrega. Could it be Marieta? It is one of my favourites. Steve.

  • Sounds very peaceful. Music I would expect to hear inside the secret garden.

  • @sherwinjtb Thanks Sherwin. Thanks also for the sub. Steve.

  • @NEVERMORExxxxx Thanks She. Yes, this is one of my favourite Sor pieces. I like the song on your profile. It could be sad, but it could also be poised, like as sprouting seed in the dark earth. Have pleasant spring days. Steve.

  • You play beautifully, lovely guitar.

  • @Rutle Thanks for the kind comment, and for the subscription. Welcome to my channel. Steve.

  • Very nice steven, I love this melody, I hope to be able to play it one day !

    All the best

    Daniel

  • @rdan06 Thanks Daniel. The Segovia edition has some fingering in the middle fretboard, but i kept it at the end, for ease of playing. The notes are all the same. Steve.

  • Nicely played!!!! 5****

  • @SUNNYD3322 Thanks Sunny. I have checked out your version. V nice. Steve.

  • @josie2u2 Thanks Josie. I feel that another upload from you is just around the corner. I look forward to it. Steve.

  • @musique2a Hi Jean-Hugues. Your comments are always so positive, and inspiring. Thanks. Steve.

  • Nice playing Steven. You make it look easy even though I know that's not easy to play. Great work!

  • @sackasilver Yes, Roger. It's very tricky, and just like Sor to make the last couple of bars twice as hard as the rest.

  • Hello ~ really enjoyed your presentation: wonderful classical piece.

    Thank you!

  • @nahatsu2 Thanks again Natasha. You have been far more prolific with your uploads lately than i have. Steve.

  • @Mr5stevenr Hello ~ Yes! A great music lover such as I am! Happy day it is for me to hear wonderful presentations of music: cheers.

  • Very nice indeed Steve.

    It just needs a title!!

    Hee hee.

    Cheers,

    Paul

  • @Gangly1 Hi Paul. The title is there now. The "revamped" youtube refused to do it the first time. At least this time it stuck. Have you got any more duets with Julie in the pipeline? I'm preparing one now with Serge.- Bach's invention number 8. I might have to get some technical tips off you again soon. Cheers. Steve.

  • Hi Steve,

Excellent - very nice job on this one! I'm working on this one myself and just played it for a class recital. Not so easy, huh? Keep up the great work...

    Regards,

    James

P.S. You might want to add a title so people know it's Sor's Etude in D

  • @jbclassicaldreams Hi James. I think i did this one for my grade 5 exam. It is very tricky. I did put a description on the page when i uploaded, but YT didn't put it up. I have done it again. Steve.

  • Great Steven! And played with so much feeling. A pleasure listening to this!

    Mary

  • @MaryGreenleaf Thanks Mary. I think hearing your harp music is helping with my phrasing. Steve.

  • @Mr5stevenr Wow! That is great praise indeed! I am severely flattered ;-)

    Happy playing!

    Mary

  • Hi Steven,

this is just a lovely performance!! It sounds very sweet! Sarah :-)

  • @sguitar Thanks Sarah. I'm happy with the upload, except for the last bit.

  • Really good performance!

  • @francos1960 Thanks Francesco. You'll be on book 4 soon.

  • Very Nice!

  • @VLombardi01 Thanks Vince.

  • One of Sors' most pleasant study !.Good sound and very pleasant to listen to .Congratulations .Claude

  • @KlodeB92 Thanks Claude. Yes. I have always liked this one.

  • Dear Steven, i enjoyed this lovely piece of guitar music!

    Crystal*

  • @CNlyrical Thanks Crystal. I will have to get some video editing tips off you to make my uploads more interesting. Your films are always so professional. Regards, Steve.
