Don't believe all you hear, AVCHD is the best Hard Drive video right now, and you can work it with a regular computer, just buy sony vegas for editing and that's it.

Hi! I have this camera.. the mic is very sensitive and its top mounted and picks up a lot of you breathing.. best results with a mic attachment...

Nice video Gerry1976.. I don't like the color casting of canon cameras.. too warm for my taste but the camera is very nice outdoors.. Sucks indoors.

If you played with the tone of the video don't mind me..I know the sun was doing most of the warm tones but Canon is too sensitive in that matter..

This mic is very sensitive if its windy. But in no wind areas its perfect. But its a lot better with a mic it does have a mic jack.

Awesome picture quality and excellent and natual color. But it looks a little like 10 frames per second. And also the zooming in and out looks low. is this because of the compression?

2. The cam has 3 different zoon velocities I choose the slowest one.

3. No the compression has nothing to do at all.

How did you get your videos so clear?

I have the HG10 and mine came out EXTREMELY blurry on YouTube. Clear on the camera and computer, but not on here. Did you do anything to your videos besides upload them to your computer and then to YouTube? PLEASE HELP!

I use Sony Vegas for rendering, and I render the video in High Def after I render the video I just grab the file to YouTube and that's it.

When you render it on Sony Vegas, when you upload the raw video file doesn't it automatically make it widescreen or something?

NO It does not do it automatically, you need to render it as widescrean and it ends up as widescrean, you need to play around with Sony Vegas to understand the software a little bit.

im buying the same camera in about 2 weeks i cant wait and i recommend using camcorder filters like uv, pl, f-dl itll give you a better image instead of using color corrector and others similar and theyre not that expensive around 40$ not even nice video sharp crisp image true hi-def

sorry for commenting again man but I have the Canon HG10 And it shoots in High Definition (AVCHD) Format. When I import it to Sony Vegas pro 8 the preview is really choppy it skips through frames and the audio is fine though. And when Rendering what should I rend the file as?

Well its too slow for AVCHD rendering and very basic, just buy SONY VEGAS Platinum and you'll be able to make good videos with color correction, ect.
