Maybe Con is looking through the eyes of the other Smiths. Or maybe he just hear their movements and think they did their poses. Man, logic is worthless here, which is why it's awesome!

This game has a lot of social and political representation. Con Smith represents the average child. Not too interested in things like politics but tries to grow up too fast. The only time he shows being a kid was when the handsome men showed up. Showing how he isn't blinded by his own ignorance when it comes to his heroes. Same thing with kids. Kids pay more attention when they are interested. But he is indeed blind.
