I just bought the kit and doesn't work with my SD card!!..why??....I have a Sony Cybershot, nothing happens at all!!..not even a massage, nothing!...only works with my brothers SD card, his SD is square mine is rectangular, little smaller!...what is the problem??... Do I need to return it??!!

Stupid Apple next firmware update better not kill your ability to connect a keyboard or a mouse to that USB. I have a feeling they will find out and will kill it since they want you to buy that stupid keyboard that go with the iPad.

@asia911 It's an unsupported function, so you always run the risk breaking something that isn't supported. With that said, the iPad connects to any Bluetooth keyboard, so Apple doesn't care if you use its dock or not. And surely there will be other keyboard dock solutions.

So a few questions. When you import photos does it import the full resolution photo? And then when you connect the iPad back to your computer, is there a way to get the full rez photo into iPhoto? Same questions for unsupported video files.

I'd like to use the iPad as a photo backup while on vacations.

so let me get this right, you need a special over priced dongle to connect a camera to the iPAD so you can transfer pictures, something every netbook and Android tablet can do with just a stock cable. I cant see how this is a step forward to be honest.

@LinuxGalore It's not just about having a USB port. Obviously if that's the most important thing to you, then an iPad isn't a good choice. The adapter, however, lets iPad users have their cake and eat it too.

@thefuf99 yeah, I mentioned it imports videos via Photos app. If it's on SD card should be no problem, if connects via USB it should work too, but compatibility may be device specific. Note the videos have to me iPad compatible to play.

@sswarhero Anything not officially supported is potential to disappear. The iPad though works with any Bluetooth keyboard, so doesn't have to have an Apple logo on it.
