Sad face... No one wants to give me tips, maybe I jsut don,t know how to set my amp and guitar? I was just asking for a bit of help. Also, my 6505 is the combo version, probably not as awesome as a head and cab.

the rule for a good metal tone is scooped mids,not too much tho...start off all knobs at 12 o clock, start boosting the lows and highs with pulling the mids off...the presence is a treble boost and resonance is a bass boost (in a way, it makes the amp tighter sounding) just start with the EQ flat (12 o clock on all), also the 6505 is fairly high gain so don't get crazy with the gain knob (especially if you got active pickups) you'll start to mud up the sound..hope that helps

contrary to what was said. this sounds like a mid heavy mix. i would go bass 3 oclock, mids at 1, and treble at 12. presence at 2 oclock and res at 2. gain at 12. 30 PICK HARD! it will make you a better player

Not the best song you've played. Way too easy. I'm not looking for superHARDshred but this lacks interest over a minute. Playing on one chord isn't much of a challenge. Miss your Scar Symmetry covers ^^ Would you play a bit of Trivium someday ?

@rockon3691 Well, I couldn't judge Textures since this is the only sond I know from them. All I'm saying is that i've listened to the the first 2 minutes of the song, and I got a bit bored. Guitar-wise I mean. The rhythm is a bit groovy, but aside of that, it's simple. Now the song in itself is great. Just not very appropriate for a guitar cover. But that's just my thought ^^ On the other hand, i'd love to hear him play some scar symmetry or trivium. That would be kicking =)

hat kind of amp/settings do you use? I hae trouble getting a good tone out of my Schecter Hellraiser and my Peavey 6505.

@Freezaen im not liam but this tone sounds kinds djenty(lol), try lowering your gain and raising mids, cut the treble a bit, if you have a tone knob try turning it down a bit, thats usually how to get that sort of tone, but im also not your amp lol, its slightly different with every amp

@Riffarn Why? It's a serious question. If you're insinuating I have lots of money, I don't. I got the combo, not the stack amp and it was used (so around 700$), my guitar I got on sale for 100$ and had to pospone my driving license because of that.

@Freezaen He is using the Axe FX Ultra.If you want a cheaper and good solution,I recommend working with your computer and using Line 6 POD Farm.Its a great programme for your tone.
