musically, this is actually really good. like the first half is in a minor key with that synth melody throughout, then in the second half the synth comes in at the start, but doesnt change note so you dont realise it has actually changed key to the major until the piano comes in, it works so well

Mike skinner has to be at least in the top 10 best lyricists ever. Almost every one of his songs is deeply touching to me on some level, and I love how every album tells the story of his life at the time he writes it. This coupled with the fact that I like i can relate to every one of his songs in some way make him one of the most profound artists I've ever listened to. Fucking amazing song, I don't know how you could listen to this without feeling an overwhelming, uplifting, optimism.
