  • OMG THANKKKKKKKKKKKSSSSSSSSSSSSSS SO MUCH

  • @ mermaidlover2019 that just sooooo mean and rude even if she is ugly and i think shes pretty and best tips EVER!!!!!!!

  • i like your video but next time you should show us how to make a mermaid tail

  • It Helped Alot! Thanks!

  • Thanks! FOr all the tips!

  • wow! Thank you so much for giving me an easy example of making a monofin instead of buying one from god knows where! Thank u you r so smart and resourceful!!!

  • Thank you so much!! I needed something likes this because mono fins are very expensive and tails are pricey.

  • when the water goes between duct tape and the duct tape is not gonna work anymore :(

  • Love it but why do we need to put the plastic bag??

  • I LOVE THIS!!! This is by far the best tutorial I have seen for this!!!!! xx

  • or u can just put on the flippers with out any tape or trashbags give the tape time and it will fall off the fins.or just sew them in to a fabric shaped like ur fins and they wont flop duh

  • you are ugly

  • thanks for posting this vid! i was looking at the monofins for sale and the cheapest one was like $30..... not cool......but this video was super helpful and thanks again! ^-^

  • this really worked for me please upload more mermaid things. you rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :):):)

  • This really help me thank u sooo much :D

  • H2o h2o h2o h2o

  • This is a good idea if you want to make one in a certain shape like I'm trying to do. However, I think you can probably find a more secure way to put them together. My dad and I will be messing around with this when summer comes. :3 if we find another way could we upload a tutorial and post a response?

  • @DracosDerpyHooves please message me before you do.

  • @thekmary1 Alright, I'll send our ideas right now. This way you have a heads up.

  • Can you paint it??

  • This is phenomenal. I'm gonna use this to make new monofins for myself. You're a very smart cookie. Good on you, girl. :)

  • I was hopeing for a non tape fin for my soon to be tail and I don't have flippers. So no help at all. Sorry! :(

  • can u use super glue

  • what is the point of puting tape on the plastic bags?

  • r u ment to go all around wit the duck tape

  • Child! (please don't feel offended by me calling you child, it's a compliment.) You are WONDERFUL! I'm going to purchase some swim fins RIGHT AWAY so that I can make a monofin! this is going to make my dolphin kick into a KILLER WHALE kick!!!!!!!!

  • I have a question can you put material on it?? If so what type??

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH! is it swimmible? i mean i thought they would be but i dont want be stuck at the botom of a pool with broken apart flippers and long wispy matterial stuck to my legs. XD

  • Sweets, you are a very smart little thing. Good for you figuring this out. I am making my girls mermaid tails and I will definately use this technique. It's way better than paying for monofins for everyone. BTW, how long did this last for you or do you just change out tape everytime you use it? Again, I am so impressed by how ingenuitive you are, the bags were a clever touch.

    =-)

    Thanks for posting this

  • @buttercreamgirl You're very welcome. Changing out the tape is all up to you. I'm swam with mine for over a year and have not yet felt the need to change the tape. Very little water shouldn't get into the tape seams due to filling every open space with a plastic bag. Though if one could feel the need to change the tape, that is their own decision and, challenge if I may say ;) thank you again.

  • wont it look weird

  • This Is cool but where do you buy the fabric to use as a tail? :p

  • I might try it. Thanks :)

  • this did work

  • I soo needed this so i dont have to buy a monofin for my marmaid tail!! :D

  • @AlexAshleyLove, looks like ur a nice person but ur the most rude person ever

  • @AlexAshleyLove you stfu ur probably just jealous because you're not as smart as this brilliant person right here in this video >:(

  • @AlexAshleyLove your incridible use of swear words intimidates me. If you don't like. Then bugger off.

  • @AlexAshleyLove dam is where bevears swim like you did you mean dumb ass bitch fuck off mmkay jealous of her probley cuz shes smarter then you are lol fool... and to thekmary1 you did a great job with this video but is there anyway to make the duck tape show?!?

  • @AlexAshleyLove be quit you would not like it if someone said that to you

  • did just4mermaids copy you?

  • @MissHaruna1 just4mermaids and know eachother locally. So, I had the idea to do this, and told her i was going to do a how to vid. Though before i could edit my clips, she had already thrown a video together. it's good to know that i have a bit more people watching this one instead. :3

  • @thekmary1 oh haha cool. yours is best anyways :)

  • i dont have flippers too

  • i dont have any flippers so :L xx lol

  • this looks really helpful, but im still uncertain about a handmade monofin. it seems like if wouldnt work as well as something like a finis monofin. anyone use a handmade one for a long time and have it still working?

  • when i do thin im gonna make a vid of me using this!

  • yes

  • I wonder if they have a scaley looking duct tape so I can tape it all around to look like a mermaid fin.

  • I need tape!!!! This tutorial is PERFECT but I have an unusual problem.. I don't have any tape!! Lmao :D XD

  • You just saved me a lot of money XP thanks! :D

  • dude there is another video making a monofin and u just need plastic board that is completly plastic!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @lol14513 lol im replying to myself

  • u look like nora from icarly but your much nicer

  • Do you know how expensive monofins are compared to regular flippers? Because I kinda want to get one but I don't know what would make more sense.

  • @ngycgirlz Monofins are usually around 50$, I would get Speedo Flippers, the proffensional looking ones, not the stupid cheap plastic ones for $20.

Try looking at Walmart, Target, Tj-Maxx, or Marshall's.

    I hope this helped!

  • Wow, this is really cool. And cheaper than buying a monofin since flippers can be found practically anywhere. (Even yard sales) And this is also good because if one wanted to they could make them a V type shape. :3

  • How does it look when you cover it with swimwear fabric and use it to make a tail?

  • Great video thanks for posting! Where can I get fins like that?

  • HEY U UPLOADED THIS VID ON MY LIL SISTERS 8 BDAY!! =D

  • With all that duct tape, you will make mythbuster envy.

  • cool

  • hi were can you get them ??? I always wanted to get them but i couldn't get them please answer me soon i really want to do it!

    ^_^

  • This is a REALLY clever idea. I might try it someday!!!!!!! :)

  • but wat are the black thing at the front

  • dp you know a way to make them without flippers

  • Why we have to fill in between the fins ?

  • @mary12gp just to make sure all taped spots are water proof. i guess you don't have to if you don't want to

  • @thekmary1 ok :)...

Your video is very nice !! (now we can have a very cheaper monofin :D )

  • @mary12gp so the flippers dont move around as much for more support

  • Wow, this is great! A cheap way to get a monofin without actually buying a monofin! Thanks!

  • this is great i am defiently going to try this to put in my handmade mermaid tail

  • Thanx! It did help! I was about to buy one for $100.00....Good thing I was on YouTube!

  • Normally, you have to order monofins on line and there always a lot of money, but you can always buy flippers at the store. I have to say, the plastic bag tips for the empty spaces was GENIUS!! I was just going to ducttapped mine together and hoped, but this was really smart, THANKS!!! :)

  • o cool! monofins are really expensive so this was very helpful. i also went to a garage sale and i saw some 3 dollar new flippers! i never was so lucky in my life. :)
