  • この曲は静謐な穏やかな風が吹き渡る様な♪だ。天才・奇人のJimの一面です。

Thank tou for uploading this !!

  • Can always come back to Jim and still feel astounded.

  • Stream of guitar consciousness, pure, true, like a newborn.

  • Not Sport, Martial Art's main riff really makes me question life. Something you listen to in silence, not with other people.

  • Not Sport, Martial Art is so great

  • Neil Young?

  • "Not Sport, Marital Art" got it ?.

  • anyone who likes this shoud check out Vini Reilly

  • Isn't it like a good conversation, you can't expect to learn one, but to have one is being creative and free, intelligent. Learning it would be like reading from a script, but never like conversation?

  • Jim O must have had alot of free time to compose such a complex piece of work. It sounds awsome. Halfway to Threeway is a great record. If you can find it buy it!

  • does anybody have any tabs for this song in open g?

  • dudes the way i think he's doing it is in open g! dgdgbd!

  • Thanks dude! Ended up learning it in E, but i'm going to relearn it. Sweet!

  • yes it is open G have fun

  • Jim is great.

    His experimentation is interesting,

and his more "classic" songwriting is some of my all time favourite. I'm trying to learn Not Sport, Martial Art, but i can't figure out his tuning. Can anyone help?

  • tuning is open g dude dgdgbd

  • 33, 000 hits on a soundcheck? wow, i bet he wished he'd rehearsed a bit more :)

    wonderful to see this

    thanks!

  • something like nick drake...

  • A BIT OF ASH IN HIS FACE KEEPS HIM WARM!

  • nice tone!

  • thanks

    thanks again.

  • Nice video dude, great quality compared to all the other horseshit bootlegs on youtube.

  • o'rourke. probably genius.

  • just what i needed. so good. the true heir to fahey.

  • fahey?! really?! which album do you think about?!

  • no album really, (tho o'rourke did produce an album for fahey called "Womblife" at least I think it was called that). It's more a general intent in the music, the bitter sweet quality. Fahey's more blues really while this is a bit prog, I suppose, but the soul's similar.

  • ok I see. I use to say that those artists have the same sensitivity. try james blackshaw maybe.

  • james blackshaw eh? ok , I will. you know loren conners? good stuff

  • hi! don't know her! give ma the name of an album plz.

  • it's a man. there is an album just out with him and jim doing live guitar improves together called "Two Nice Catholic Boys". There is an album called "the little match girl" under his older name of by Loren Mazzacane Connors which is really good, I strongly recommend that one.

  • Beautiful...

Wonder which tuning he use here?

  • hey thanks bro

  • an organized mess!

  • Could listen to this lad play all day.

  • great stuff.

  • I just discovered him by his two albums with Loose Fur and I think he is great. Love his voice and his weird creativity.

  • There certainly has been some mixed feelings towards O'Rourke's seriousness about some of the music he does, but this seems so genuine. I would go as far as calling it remarkable. yeah, Fahey leanings aside, he's in his own... killer!

  • thanks!!! Not Sport, Martial Art is my favorite Jim O'Rourke song

  • Two of my fave songs, played beautifully...thanks!!!

  • thanks!!!!!!!!!!!! i'm cryng

  • one word only : genius!!!

  • awesome! thanks for posting this

  • This is a great clip.

  • Hooray for Jim! Awesome guy.

  • here,here
