newstyle is hiphop, but the name was invented by MostWanted, but what is the origin - hard to say. I know two: shortcut for New York Style, which is clear to understand, and the second one: news style as a news style of dancing itself - mixing the basics of hiphop and adding some flavour from other styles of dancing.

New Style is everyones own style that they put together from different dance styles like popping, locking, hiphop, krump etc.
You can take it as far as you want to take it.. mix different things. if your dope like kanon then its all good ;)
