Garabaldi. I remember those used to dive off laguna very rough and poor vis very cold. Compared to gulf know.vis is the same. Good vid. Be safe and stay away from those seals and whites lol.

is the vis constantly this good in catalina...my friend and i are getting into spearfishing but the vis is always terrible here! we are thinking about getting yaks or something to get further out

This vid was shot in September, on the back side of Catalina, west of the isthmus at the western end of Lobster Bay, boat access only. The viz is pretty consistent from Jul-Nov. Watch the swell and runoff from recent rain.

I didn't see any WSBs, but, there are some nice Calicos and a few bugs. It's the only place I've ever seen Selemas. (check out my Selemas vid, that's Lobster Bay too)
