I may be more informed on occasion. I often see critical thought missing in the mainstream. There is a false choice in your response! Powerlessness is NOT the only alternative to wrongly exercised raw power. However, mis-used raw power can be a short cut to powerlessness. I'm truly saddened that this is something we may soon learn in this nation. I want the best for this nation and her citizens. Do not confuse my comment with disrespect for anyone, including those in the military.

I will add that the suffering that is reported is also beyond MY ability to imagine honestly going through. 1 out of 5 people..refugees. 500,000 out of 20 million..dead. One's life and the lives of everyone around one shattered. It is not the fault of our military. It is the fault of our civilian leadership or lack thereof. This song is about America seeing herself as others see us. The first great power that can do this will not need to fail or fall because policy will be shrewd and wise.

the problem lies in the fact that our govenrment is no longer listening to we the people like they are required to by the constitution. need proof, just ask how many want to impeach bush and look at what congress is doing....maybe we should bring back that other document the declaration of independence

i can only hope that anyone that comes across this video will send it to a friend. Perhaps, through a united front we will let our politicans know that it is not our job nor our right to impose "our" vision of democracy on the world. this includes our next potential war with iran. peace may only be an illusion in this world that we live, but it doesn't mean we can't strive for it through diplomacy. somebody has to stand up for what this country use to be,and can be again.
