@Ypedal Just watched all your vids today. Great stuff! I'm a 2 week newb to ebikes.. veteran to bikes. Just looking/researching for what to buy for my Motobecane Fantom Trail DS. Was thinking Ping 60v15ah LifePo, now thinking Turnigy Lipo maybe. Charging might be more involved though. Decisions, decisions...
@ElectricAvenuesIRE It's not a BMX, it's a Norco Chaos, i put a 20" in the rear for mechanical advantage to the motor at 100v, and a 24" in the front to keep some ground clearance.. i use it 95% of the time on roads so no need for high cranks, i prefer acceleration ..
Time to go to the new shed and pick yourself out another bike! The motor looks good. Just need a rim and a few spokes - not too expensive, just a little work.
@Gerhardtdj These are rims i got from Zero Electric Motorcycles when they were using 20 inch wheels, i have a few dozen of these left, no brand name but custom built in taiwan and very strong...
@Doctorbass Yes, the wheel was solid and all spokes were as tight as could be, i never had to adjust any spoke after the initial build 2 years ago.. the 12 gauge spokes and rim were solid !
