Hey bluesgurugod, well so what if the other commercial is not positive? maybe it's more important that this is out there, and some grade 6 kid will see it and say "hey, yeah, let's build a better canada"
I find it rather disturbingly ironic that this bank, in one commercial, ostensibly endeavors to champion the environmental movement, whilst in another commercial (the Muffin Man one) celebrates the extreme decadence of rampant capitalism. Of course the average ignoramus is too dull-witted to digest anything from this other than making idiotic comments like "this makes me happy" - alas... there's no reaching that level of incompetence. All I can say is the banks are extreme hypocrites.
Economic development doesn't need to be damaging to the environment. Capitalism can be responsible and green, so long as there is an understanding on how to consume and recycle responsibly. The muffin man creates jobs, and stimulates the economy, and by using new innovations and technology he can do it all by being green as possible. Socialism isn't green either, and we sure as hell can go around planting trees and acting like jobless hippies that will just leave everyone hungry and penniless.
This is a Canadian commercial to advertise the 2010 winter Olympics being held in Vancouver, British Columbia and to find people who want to carry the Olympic torch.
The reason everyone knows (and loves) this commercial's music so much is because it's been recycled from Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Down On The Corner".
Hey last time they totally dissed and forgot Manitoba and Saskatchewan they jumped from Toronto to Calgary. I thought the north was represented with the bear but that just might be me. and At least Atlantic Canada was represented both times with the "Rock" Newfoundland. Last time there were no prairies or territories.
In that statement you called Manitoba the middle of nowhere and since the geographical centre of Canada is in Manitoba, thus you just called Canada nowhere and you just dissed yourself and Ottawa because then in your logic Ottawa is nowhere.
make a pledge, carry the torch (2x) walking down the streets, i see lot of things i can do to make things better coach a team and lead with pride using my bike when i need to drive for me and you making a pledge to make dreams come true for me and you use a less water is what we''ll do yeah eeeyeeaahh (2x) let's get together and plant a tree or let's use the sun for our energy for you and me and do some good in the community for you and me lead the way so everyone can see
make it my video's video response!! i saw that u did earlier today but now its not there! It would let people who saw the older RBC commercial to see yours!
Not enough Atlantic Canadian content on the commercial, meaning no Peggy's Cove Lighthouse, Signal Hill, Halifax Town Clock, Blue Nose, or other items synonymous with Atlantic Canada.
For got to mention Nunavut, NWT, and Yukon were not included in the commercials as well.
If you felt the territories were excluded, you should visit the RBC website and submit a comment that the territories were excluded in the torch relay commercials.

Who cares about Manitoba and Saskatchewan, there in the middle of nowhere. They should have put the capital of Canada..OTTAWA!
