Thank You. More people should learn that hunters are not just cold blooded killers. 99.9% of the time what we shoot Dies quick and painless which is more than can be said to animals killed in meat factories.
I just dont get the enjoyment of shooting animals for fun. What if it became really fashionable and every second person was a hunter.....i dont think the bush would be a safe place. And yeh i hunted a few times as a kid with guns, didnt like it.
ok you have no idea then australia has nearly the strictest gun controll laws in the world and if every second person was a hunter it would be a safe place because there would be more awarness of safety shooters arent crazy evil people the ones who arent shooters and get their hands on firearms are the dangerous ones
You dont have to "enjoy" but if its from bullet or poison baits that dont discriminate or engineered viruses... what excactly do pose the answer to the problem be? Why in all seriousness would every second Australian become a hunter? If nobody gets hurt the native flora and fauna are protected and there is a reduced demand for farmed meats which also impact on the environment greatly... then what has anybody got to lose? pride? ignorance? U dont have to kill to appreciate the defence forces role
Australians need to embrace the fact that hunting is bushwalking with a purpose! We can share our bushland with hunters and nature lovers alike without conflicting. Hunters like to work off the beaten track away from everyone else so you may hear us but you'll rarely see us.
If you eat meat you cannot deny the right to hunt responsibly. If you are vegetarian the hunters can keep the pests from damaging your crops and eroding your soil. We can all benefit.

Ethical hunting = conservation. Hunters do more conservation than any City based greenie will EVER DO.
