Mirella Freni is the best Susanna ever. I've listened to many others. Anna Moffo's Susanna in the Giulini recording is exquisite as well but Freni, especially in this film, is really right on the money on how Susanna should act and sing. She is perfectly in character and her singing is flawless and gorgeous. Brava Freni

I love this production of Le nozze di Figaro the best. The cast is stellar.

Beautiful singing from Freni, as usual. Love how they took advantage of the film medium by having Susanna sing standing far away and making it look like the Countess is singing. And nice idea having Cherubino sing Don Giovanni's champagne aria - cute!
