  • some one help i have many boards!!! what supplies do i need to make my own!!! i have and idea and i havnt found a board yet with it so PLEASE HELPS!!!!!!!!!!!!! ok the bottom of the board is slick (whatever you call it) and the board is curved on the sides for rails so you can carve.....what if the slick bottom was on the sides so you could carve with max. speed!!! IS THERE ONE LIKE THIS HELP MAN!!!!!!!!

  • Hehe nice, ive don this myself once :-) Easy, but the epoxy required a delicate hand.

    Mucis is not my kind of choice, but that wont spoil the fun.

  • @prete09 just what colours in order of preference in case they dont have the colour in stock..example..if you pick red as your 1st yellow as your 2nd and blue as your 3rd..if they dont have red in stock you get yellow and so on so on

  • excellent. i'm dying to start shaping boards. my mate shapes surfboards here in ireland but noone shapes sponge. we have some serious massive waves here and the boogers are the ones pushing it.

    Core was XPS foam (extruded polystirene)

    Bottom was HIPS sheet (high impact polyestirene)

    Deck and rails are just EVA foam sheet (ethyl vinyl acetate).

    The whole thing glued with EPS contact cement.

  • looks like dow foam "polyethylene", "polypropylene" is the best but more expensive

  • polypro isnt the best, it all depends on the conditions, polypro is lighter and stiffer but doesnt work well in colder climates whearas PE or dow does.
