  • saw him live in VT circa '70. amazing ten.amazing now.

  • There's a certain emptiness, slowness (lack of energy), and lack of passion in his eyes and his playing. Words that could never accurately be used to describe Peter Green in his prime.

  • He's still great — much better than most guitarists out there — but if you don't realize the significant difference between Peter in the late 60s and Peter here, you simply haven't cultivated an appreciation for the subtlety or emotional expression that was once of the Man of the World. Peter Green is my absolute favourite guitarist, and even he can't match himself. Despite remaining alive, the legend was lost one day in the mid 70s.

  • you guys need to lay off peter, i dont see or hear any of your 65 year old asses doing half as good as job as he is in this performance, hes doing everything as he always did, his note placement and phrasing is still genius and if you disagree I suggest you get up there and create your own legacy, i find his singing incredibly soulful as well, and that's what the blues is about

  • the mans playing is like silk, beautiful...

  • Peter just wasn't that concerned about being the main guy. He did what he did as a young man because he had nerve and silly talent. London was a buzzing place and ripe for picking. Now, he doesn't give a shit about anything other than what pleases him. A glorious place to be.

  • I Never really understand WHY When somebody is a genius and a sensitive person they seem to get shitted on When there at there peak-- But Then when they become a living casualty or an actuall casualty they get alittle bit more compassion when it's alittle to late---Sad really that greatness doesnt sit well with alot of people untill they try and strip you of it--- But hats off peter Your still great my brother And Your strengh to keep pushing foward nobody could ever take that away from you

  • is this the same peter green as fleetwood mac god its like a shocking tribute band

  • @pretty9reenpark4

There is only one Peter Green when it comes to the blues

  • His voice is gone too...

  • Every year, a little more of Peter's skill returns to the stage, and it's heart-warming to watch his recovery, and the new low-key, non-superstar joy he brings to his playing. You can either criticize him for what he's lost, or admire him for what he's had the great courage to regain, in public no less.

  • @2smallbowls "You can either criticize him for what he's lost, or admire him for what he's had the great courage to regain"

Definitely the last: I'm glad one of the greatest guitarists of all time is on the stage again after a very difficult 'interlude'. I hope he'll find what he's looking for!

  • That was the worst rendition ive ever heard....sorry greenies, lol

  • hey, i'm sorry to say this but it reminds of the texas chanesaw massacer film, were the whole family are willing "granddad" to hit the girl with a hammer. so sad to see. he should retire, and leave the great memorise of him in in good years, love that burns is his masterpiece. never better that.

  • @zsxd55 clearly you understand nothing about the blues, and even less about the magnificent ability this gentleman possesses. Now scuttle back into you little box and allow us to enjoy this beautiful talent.

  • so gut.......

  • Beautiful, only a master can sing the blues like this. Thankyou for posting.

  • that's real heart and soul of blues

  • Peter cancelled tour because tricked on tour by his greedy solicitor! His fingertips are hurting and fingernails falling off! That is why Mike takes him to polish his nails!Dont ask for Peter on tour! They stressed him too much!He is notchoosing songsforgigs,Solicitor and all greedy people are cause of Peters bad health!Peter is not allowed to live the life he wants! Hope all greedy who are slowly killing Peter can live with them selfs!Free Greeny!

  • Still the man!

  • Great to hear the Great Peter Green covering the Great BB. Simply fantastic. I would love to see them play together.

  • Great, Peter! I'm very happy to see you again after so, so many years. Simply the best

  • Pure and simple Peter Green is the best. When he was young he had the most soulful voice to go along with the purest guitar tone and playing of that era.

  • what kind of guitar is Peter playing? Gibson should make a Peter Green model, come on its about time..they made a gary moore model which is based on Peter's guitar! what a joke

  • I think Gibson tried to at some point but Peter Green didn't want it. Unfortunately.

He is very humble with regard to his achievements....

  • Peter's playing a Hofner CT "Verythin"

  • I have been alive 43 years and I just found Peter Green a couple years ago. He is my idol. He is everything I love about music. He is amazing!

  • Fantastichen mit mayonnaise...that's the extent of my german. Great vid, thanks.

  • Peter Green sounds great in every language! 5*
