Love the intro, story took time for me to get but near the end it all came together for me and i got the point of the show. lame characters ended up being respectable and likable. the settings like these are my fav even if this anime had a particularly strange one. in the end, i enjoyed it rated: 4/5 or maybe 8 outta 10. enjoyed the ending as a final but kinda left me wanting a 2nd season to see thier Shangri-la.

@DarthFanta as it was said, yeah, Shangri-la, really crappy anime to be honest. Probably the anime that sent Gonzo into financial hell (since it did horrible both critically and financially). Only reason Gonzo is even alive atm is because of Strike Witches...that's just sad for a company that did shows as good as Last Exile and the original Full Metal Panic.

Setting 9/10 Anime in a Post global-warming world? That's rare.

By the way, if you get the chance lay outside and look up at the sky during day time. You will notice that your eyes sight flickers like if you are seeing little pixels. Concentrate your sight on the pixels and you will notice the are a bunch of particles of dust and other stuff. Concentrate even more and you can see them as if they were under microscope(those are the ones right in front of your eyes). Try it! It's a good way to train your eyesight!

I asked my brother in law, he is an optometrist, if that was possible so he told me to close my eyes and see if they move to the rhythm of my heart. They did! I even went back to the Science Center to check, and they look the same and moved to the rhythm of my heart! As for the stringy things I have no idea what they are, but its cool to see them being animated! Sorry for these two comments just had to get it out.

Cool! For like three years I've been able to see those fuzzy stringy things, along with blood cells, in the beginning of the video when i close my eyes and concentrate on my sight. I didn't know that the little moving circles were blood cell until I went to the San Diego Science Center and used that reverse microscope to see the blood cells in your eyes. I was like holy c*?&p, I can see them without the microscope.
